Parked in the layby off the road to the SE just beyond the turning to Arnside Tower Farm. Followed various tracks up to the trig and nearby hp. Dusk ascent and welcome leg stretch after the long drive up. Lovely views of the lights around Morecambe Bay on the descent. Pleasant meal afterwards at the The Albion in Arnside. Good parking on the road to the south where the public footpath to Middlebarrow starts. Walk back the short distance along the road to where the public path running north-west starts. Follow this as far as the end of the wood then an unhindered walk through the trees to the real summit. | moorsman | 13/07/2023 |
