A nice walk from the parking place before the bridge by Lundavra. Over the bridge, a few yards along the road then up to Sron Garbh. Easy going on short grass. Minus quite a lot but Beinn na Gucaig gets the sun. To the top, back track to the col, then down to the valley (shielings) and up Doire Ban. Doire Ban is a grim struggle, made worse by rock hard frozen moss under long vegetables. The only good bit was the grass in the sun near the top. Down was purgatory; lumps of red moss were frozen rock hard but the green moss was soft; like Jake the bloody peg. Rough as a dog's proverbial, though the views were good. The ford for the ATV track crossing the outflow of the Loch and the road bridge gave the best way back to road, given that the main river was frozen. Shallow ford in dry weather or big stepping stones for wet days. A walk of 2 halves.Gill30/11/2019
From Lundarva, parking on grass about 400m short of farm. Through farmyard (friendly), along track past end of loch and then diagonally up towards trees. Frozen, sunny and great views.iangalbraith18/11/2019
From Gucaig. Descent not too bad, then followed forestry fence line straight up. Ridiculously mild and clammy for February, made it hard work, but not too bad underfoot. Cloud had lifted from the surrounding mountains, made for excellent views in all directions. Remarkably little snow even on the highest hills after two weeks of south / south westerlies. Easy descent to the lochan outlet, quite a lot of water in the stream so got slightly wet feet at the ford.Owen B22/02/2019
With Malky C as round with Tom Meadhoin and Beinn na Gucaig from Corran. No summits clear but occasional views. Ground rough, finished in dark. Rounsfell08/12/2018

Circuit from minor road to Lundavra, parking fairly close to dam. Direct climb to Meall nan Cleireach, along ridge to Beinn na Gucaig, then steep descent E and long climb to Doire Ban (mound to S of top can't be much lower). Descent NNE and cross ford close to outlet of loch (could be tricky if water level higher). Rainy day.RobertP08/11/2017
3 Marilyn round from car park just w of Blar a Chaorainn. WHW to Lairigmor, the SW to join NE ridge of point 755 half way up. Over point 755 (lovely views of Stob Ban and Ben Nevis in summit lochan) then obvious circuit over Mam na Gualainn, Tom Meadhoin and Doire Ban. Down to Lochan Lunn Da Bhra and easily crossed river at E tip of lake. Clive G08/05/2017

Tough going, very hot combined with strong, sometimes gale force, winds. An unusual combination!hillsman10/05/2016

Culmination of round of the Lundavra glen. Final 410m climb up the WNW ridge. Strangely quiet summit amidst great mountain scenery. Direct line back to the NE end of loch and a splash through the river to car.nordicstar14/02/2015

from Gucaig. Leisurely down over heather and grass runs to bracken patches and swamp. Over river sheep pastures steeply up for 1,000' by forest edge and a last 200' slog to top at 13.45. Good viewpoint.arranc26/06/2003
