Lovely weather. Staying at Tulloch Bunkhouse. Got train to Corrour in the morning and walked back. Managed to cock up a bit and visit Meall Garbh twice. | banksey | 21/11/2014 |
Lots of up & down and finding a path thru a rocky top, this felt more of a munro than Chno Dearg. What I though from a distance to be patches of snow were large patches of white quartz, I loved the white cairn on the way to the summit.
Fantastic day for a hike, great views all around, I managed to decide which one was Ben Nevis but not sure about all the other far away hills.
Could not have hoped for better weather
Now its find a descent route down thru the rocky stuff & out to Tulloch Station
A walk through from Loch Ossian youth hostel taking in 2 munros to Tulloch Station. Train back to Corrour.
Saw evidence of Ptarmigan but did not see any birds. Only wildlife I saw 2 x hairy ubit (caterpillar) 2 x ravens pecked pecking at the ground near where I was having lunch | LizzieG | 14/10/2014 |
