Up along Bridleway from 212 spot height. Cut off main route to west ridge and up along fence line then to trig and top. With Bryher.jenx18/04/2019
From Town Head Fm, good vehicle track all the way. On to the unclassified Croglin Fell.jonglew11/02/2019
Parked on wide grass verge 100yd N. of T-junction at 567476 - Up excellent track on S. flank of hill & then a short walk over heather to summit & trig point. Returned on old track down ridge to disused quarry & back to car. (PM)gerrybowes22/12/2017
Parked at 567476. A 2 hour return walk with GB. The track takes you almost to the summit. Returned on the track SW to the quarries.bolton22/12/2017
FOSCLA walk with Alan, from/to Armathwaite station. Weather poor, paths easy to follow to top.JOHNS20/05/2017
Plenty of roadside parking space above the junction NW of Croglin. Followed track up to summit. No dogs permitted on this Access Land.Dangerous Dave29/04/2017
From Croglin on a lovely warm day.Alan Caine08/04/2017
After Cumrew Fell, back to col then tracks up to shooters boxes, stiff ground then to col below Blotting Raise. Up grassy lines to wall and better tracks to trigged top. Onto Croglin Fell on tracks, back down to Newbiggin on tracks, cutting corners to stay with the gradient and avoid uphill sections. 3 hrs for the circuit inc Cumrew. Great clear views.nordicstar03/02/2017
From crossroads out by track on south flank, returning down track to west that drops past quarry. Excellent walking weather - chatted to farmer who was stalking me with a land rover.SS14/05/2016
From crossroads half mile N of Croglin, large track all way to Blotting and Croglin. Windy with showers that got progressively wintry.Aye Jimmy20/11/2015
from Croglin. up well made tracks and out and back to Blotting raise. visited trig and thats good enough for me. followed tracks as far as Lawyers cross then peat, heather, rough grass and water to Tom Smiths stone passing remains of D.H. venom. Dropped pack at toms and out and back to the nag. Not hard by any stretch of the imagination. just a tad wet and had been a long day. Trig and Cairn embedded in wall mark top lovely evening views. then off to Black Fell with a camp somewhere beyond. the section from Toms to Black fell is about as bad as i can recall. on a par with Armboth fell, Cold fell and Kilhope law. Peat groughs deep enough to hide an elephant. i was knackered by now too so the summit came as a huge relief.. glad i'd done it then and not left it for the morning. trig at the summit with superb views. the way out to Thack Moor is a delight. overnighted just short of watch hill. the following morning was a tad cloudier and the lakeland hills swathed in clouds. but still dry stig_nest25/07/2015

From crossroads just north of Croglin, following Bridleway, then good track per OS map. A pleasant walk - only off track walking is the last 20 or so metres to the trig point. Continued on to Croglin Fell. Total distance, there and back = 8.4 miles, 1500ft of ascent, 3.5 hours.Crib Goch18/11/2012
