12.8 mile circular from Derbyshire Bridge car park. Up to Cat & Fiddle then following a permissive path into Chest Hollow. THIS PATH HAS BEEN CLOSED half way down the hollow so we had to follow trails to the road north. Not too hard. We followed the road to Bottom-of-the-Oven and up to the Macclesfield Forest taking the path over Buxtors Hill onto Shutlingsloe (4th time bagged), descending to Wildboarclough following moorland paths across to the lovely Three Shire Heads. We then followed sometimes boggy paths up to Axe Edge Moor (3rd time bagged) descending back to the car park. 757m ascent. Cold, sunny then cloudy conditions. A few people about. Nice views.DanTrig26/12/2023
From High Moor. Very awkward wall on to access land near Highmoor brook. Not a recommended approach. KeithByTheC17/12/2023

Drove to Peter's then on in his car. Parked on roadside near Trentabank carpark, followed waymarked track up through conifers then open moorland to summit. Breezy day, clear views all round, ate lunch at the top. Decended track to Standing Stone car park (SJ977714) then walked down the lane to Trentabank. Distance approx 4 miles; total ascent 785 feet. Coffee and cake in roadside cafe at Flash then drove to the Roaches and walked the ridge.Skip28/10/2022

A decent bit of hill this. Parked under the cliff face near opposite bridge to Wildboarclough church. This is just north of footpath to Banktop and Shutlingsloe. Lane and path flanked by bluebells and pink campion. Trees fresh in leaf. Folk enjoying the river. Fine views from top. Don’t miss the compass plate on side of rock just north of trig. This warm day also included Overmoor, Old Man of Mow, Cats Tor and Shining Tor.Pete West31/05/2021

From Trentabank Reservoir. My third visit but don’t know dates for the previous occasionsrfoster17/04/2021
Parked in the marked parking at SJ 980 681. Walked N along the road, taking the private road (but public FP) towards Shutingsloe Farm. Just before the farm, headed steeply WNW up FP to grand summit of Shutlingloe (great views). Headed NNW down west side to forest. Then along permissive track to SJ 966 703, where I crossed wall with double BWF taking a short and quick route across non access land to High Moor summit (hardly worth the effort) and back the same way. 7.8km with 440m ascent in 2h25m.
