3/9 From Over Water, Castle How from road, then drop down to bridle way, up to White Hause, round corrie to Burn Tod, next Corrie to Frozen Fell, then up revisiting Great Sca Fell and Little Sca Fell down Bridleway to Saddle north of Longlands Fell. Brilliant 13 mile day taking in Brae Fell, Great Sca Fell, Knott, Great Calva, Meal Fell, Longlands and BinseyShutterlag28/09/2015
First hill on circuit to collect few remaining Birketts. Track S of Orthwaite then green path diagonally across hillside behind Brocklecrag. Ascended Burn Tod up slopes from SW. There's been a heist - the summit quartz stone has gone! From the size of the hole it must have been at least 20cm long; all that's left in the hole is a tiny piece of quartz and tiny slate.Aye Jimmy27/09/2015

Done solo. Having arrived back on the path between Knott and Great Calva the cloud lifted enough for me to double check my bearings and having realized that what I thought was Burn Tod was in fact Frozen Fell all along I did this on a there and back from the same path before heading off for Great Clava. Five minutes with my GPS could have confirmed this all along but I couldn't be bothered to stop and get it out in such appalling conditions on Knott. I didn't think that peak bagging was worth that much hassle. (I had been prepared to give up on a minor peak if it saved having to navigate with precision rather than the dead reckoning that I was using.) These moorland hills are all very similar to those at home and did not fill me with much inspiration!Aimless Rambler31/08/2013
