My fourth Wainwright round of Pike O'Blisco and Lingmoor Fell from the ODG. More challenging and interesting were diversions en route to Wrynose Fell (Long Crag), Blake Rigg, Kettle Crag, Side Pike, and Oakhowe Crag along the way. Quite rough and often pathless ground. So only 16 km with 1100m ascent, but it still took me 8 hours to complete. A lovely sunny morning with stunning views of Bowfell et al, but a chill with low cloud and scattered showers came in during the afternoon.silveracorn_alan05/11/2023

From NY 2832 0323. Short round of 6 hills, this the fifth, ending at Blake Rigg (Little Langdale). Required a 2 mile walk along the road from parking spot, but after Blake Rigg dropped straight down to the car.jonglew12/08/2019

Wrynose Bridge - LONG CRAG - Blake Rigg. Thick mist from start, followed Pike o'Blisco path to NY 28119 03568, forded beck & cut across to Long Crag. Rough country, GPS essential for me in very poor visibility.citygent20/09/2017
Parked on one of the 5 or 6 small hardstanding areas, just E. of Wrynose summit – N. up RoW to stream at 274033 – After crossing stream, a fairly obvious path heads up to the W. of Black Crag & then made way over decent terrain to the summit outcrop. Continued to Blake Rigg. (PM)gerrybowes08/08/2017

A strange day emotionally being as this was my last day on the hills before my 60th birthday in a few days time. Six new DoBh summits in the bag on a wet and dreary day. So how do i fare for over 45 years of bashing the hills? Lots of aches and pains, especially when i try to get out of the car after driving home. Knees ok but the occasional twinge, niggles away. Arthritis in my ankles can make walking on stony ground quite painful. Fitness has dropped but i do like my beer and food. Having said that a five hour round trip today over difficult ground so things can't be that bad! Heres to the next decade and many more summits.thenomad10/01/2017

Hard standing parking just east of Wrynose summit. From here a barely definable path leads towards the summit. Easy to follow upwards but, in mist, there is a real probability that the wrong route will be taken coming down if a GPS is not followed.moorsman06/03/2014

On way to Pike Of Blisco and Crinkle Crags. Difficult to confirm exact top out of 3 rock outcrops. Visited all 3 and went for most southern rock like a large slanting slab highest at north end.mntainman12/06/2009
