| Lovely sunny, clear day so went for eight Lamplugh fells from Kirkland T-junction. Easy walk over Kelton Fell, Godworth and down to sheepfolds. Horrid rough and dreary climb up to Banna Fell then nice summit of Floutern Cop. Decided to add Little Dodd (Hen Comb N. top) as flat path but then had dreary and tiring climb onto High Nook. Easy over High Pen and Low Pen then a steep climb onto Knock Murton with great views. A good bag of 9. | BURGESS | 12/06/2021 |

| Roadside parking, room for 3-4 cars without blocking the gate (NY 1429 2111) - saves paying at the Scalehill Bridge CP. Good track runs S from the Kirkstile Inn (nice pint of stout on the return). Over Mosedale Beck at NY 1372 1999 and followed an unmapped path up through bracken. | Mellbreak and Hen Comb with Don Munro next door. Up the north face of Mellbreak, what a cracking little ascent that is, over the tops and down the other side to the path that cuts across to the back of Hen Comb, small slog up and over this. Lucky with weather, bit hazy, superb views of Buttermere, Grasmoor, over to the giants at the back and side of Buttermere, couldn’t see out to sea though.
