Same parking and route as pjbellarby to visit both Wainwright and Marilyn tops. Getting chilly in the early evening and the Old Man had his head in the cloud. Solo, just the sheep on the top. | richard69 | 05/03/2024 |

Solo. From Dodgson Wood car park up permissive path to near Low Parkamoor and then track SSW. Path to Wainwright summit and on to highest point of Top o' Selside. Only a few light showers after several days of heavy rain. Back same way. | pwbellarby | 21/09/2023 |
With Carol - Park on verge just north of Water Park, near High Nibthwaite. Use track from High Nibthwaite village to the top of Top o’ Selside (1099’) (and second top). Good views of Lake Coniston, and Coniston Range, to the west. Reverse the last ascent and then head to High Light Haw (867’), Low Light Haw (810’) and Brock Barrow (748’). From summit pillar, head east and pick up path to Caws Beck, returning to High Nibthwaite. Hot (27 degrees) and breezy. A great clockwise walk. Navigation, using paths and sheep tracks, generally straightforward. | DABT | 05/09/2023 |

This was the once that was a graft. The ground was hard work with no paths and some distance from the others. Still stunning walking through all the heather and rocks. Didn’t see anyone all day and felt like we were abroad with the weather. Passing the dried up Arnsbarrow Tarn we put in some serious effort and made it to the summit. Absolutely shattered we stopped and ate our Greggs sandwiches and drank. After the break we followed the stoney track back to the car and Bec got bit on the knee by a horsefly. Tired and overheating we stopped for a beer and Bec a swim in Coniston before going to Hawkshead to stay in a camping pod for a few days. Had a delicious pizza in the Queens head and a pint of dizzy blonde before back to the pod for more beer and games of cards. Great start to the week | Scotty 2 Hotty | 20/06/2022 |
