From Glen Quaich along Rob Roy Way path. Steep ascent up heather and blaeberry (and some grass) slope to the coll from Lochan Uaine area. Trodden path from coll alongside fence to summit area of Beinn na Gainimh. Electric fences had to be negotiated in order to reach the summit. Back to coll and trodden path to Creag Grianain. Then continued to Meall Mor, and Geal Charn. Descent down landrover track to Achnafauld.Fife Walking24/03/2024

From Newton Bridge, tracks most of the way to Conichan Castle, then round to Sron Bealaidh, Beinn na Gainimh, Creag Grianain, Meall Mor, Geal Charn, Meall Reamhar and steep descent back to Newton.TRG31807/06/2023
From Newton Bridge car park, via Crom Creag, Meall Reamhar, Geal Charn & Meall Mor. Descended on a good path on N side of fence. Great view spot at cairn. Short climb to an airy, lovely Creag Grianain. On to Beinn na Gainimh & Sron Bealaidh.Lynnebe24/05/2023
Across col from Meall Mor on short heather. Stayed N of electric fence. Great viewpoint.LizH21/04/2023

Parked in gravel yard by green-clad building at Auchnafauld. Track 100 yards E leads almost onto the ridge, which I followed over Meall Mor SE Top, Meall Mor, the cheese wedge summit of Creag Grianain (the best top of the day), Beinn na Gainimh and Sron Bealadh, before cutting down NW over heathery slopes to the lochan at the col on the Rob Roy way and following the Way to the road at Croftmill.Nick Down118/04/2022
From Meall Mor and on to Gainimh. This is a cracking wee hill with a superb outlook over Glen Lochan.sclater07/11/2021
Route from Newton Bridge over hills to N of Glen Almond. Walked short distance N along A822 to bridge leading to open hillside. Followed stream running NW to upper slopes of Meall Reamhar and on to summit. Camped close to summit. Continued on to Geal Charn (including possible alternative top c 500m S), then Meall Mor, the fine summit of Creag Grianain and finally the flat summit of Beinn na Gainimh. Descended via SE ridge to Glen Almond in increasing sunshineRobertP29/08/2021
Parked on verge E of Croftmill in Glen Quaich, followed tracks past Croftmill to summit plateau of Meall nam Fuaran (not clear exactly where that is, but the spot height on OS 1:25000 is probably very close), then S along line of crags, before dropping down steeply to the high point of Glen Lochan, crossed and up the slopes to summit of Beinn na Gainimh (crossing a double electric fence en route, for the first of 4 times), continuing along ridge line to Creag Grianain and then Meall Mor, descending N at first, then steeply down to dam at E end of Lochan a' Mhuilinn, crossing river near spillway, followed track back to Croftmillkdbennett25/04/2021

Parked near Croftmill (space for one car on verge at end of passing place). Round of 7 Simms: Meall nam Fuaran and north top, Harrow Hill, Meall nan Eannchain, Sron a' Chairidh, Creag Grianain, Meall Mor.PGCE06/07/2020
A good track from Achnafauld leads pretty close to the top of Geal Charn, then you follow an electric fence across some (thankfully bone dry) peat hags to Meall Mor. The most interesting section is then between here and Creag Grianain, which is comparatively craggy, before dropping down onto the Rob Roy Way at Lochan Uaine.summitter15/05/2020
Route as for Beinn na Gainimh, Meall Mor, Creag Grianan, Beinn na GainimhJulieB30/12/2019
A morning round of the three tops SE of Rob Roy Way in Glen Lochan before heading home. Overcast but cloud lifted from summit ahead of me as I headed up track to a short way before the bealach when I saw a relatively heather free line. Beinn na gainimh (G);Creag Grianain(Gt) and Meall Mor(Gt). managed to puck out a grassy rake between the badly eroding slopes of second top. Other than this the day was enlivened by crossing a live electric fence three times - once before each top.dickscroop28/08/2019
round of meall mor, creag grianain, geal charn, meall reamhar, from tracks near lynemore, parked 200 m west of track entrance at large shed.robertphillips29/12/2016
After Meall Mor, followed twin electric fences (turned off) over intervening dip. Summit is a lovely mossy perch overlooking Lochan a'Mhuilinn.Lindsay M06/07/2016
After Gainimh dropped down to col and fence line to top, onwards to Meall Mhor. Electric fences interesting but possible to step on longer spans to cross easily.nordicstar15/02/2015

Solo. Wanted to ascend from Loch Freuchie side of these hills but found no where to park as well as wind farm activity. Started from the car park at Newton Bridge instead. Walked west and then north on track before ascending hillside to Sròn Bealaidh and Beinn na Gainimh. Summit of latter on my side of double electrified fence. Continued to Creag Grianain where I found I did have to cross the fence; it was not powered up. This fence goes for a considerable distance and I crossed it a few times thereafter. Came to summit of Meall Mòr. The name Meall Mòr appears on OS maps someway to the NE of the summit, suggesting that the name is not really intended to apply to the summit. Went over the summit of Geal Charn and then Meall Reamhar. Maps showed crags to S so descended SW.pwbellarby11/04/2014
Parked just before the houses on the longish straight. Partly sunny, high cloud, few showers, cool wind, good views.iangalbraith04/08/2013

Great view of loch - not a 'lake'. Great place to sit on edge and eat lunch, however not a place to have a post-prandial sleep. Marked absence of any marker at the very summit.Martin R26/10/2011
