Started early from Balsporran Cottage. Plenty of snow and a bit of mist at the top landed us at the eastern cairn, and it was only after I checked the GPS that I realized we needed to go to the western cairn. Sun came out on descent of south ridge with fine views of ben Alder.mindlessflogger31/03/2016

Circuit of 4 Drumochter Munros - started in poor visibility but cleared - very cold wind - but free of snow There is a straight-forward rail crossing at Balsporran Cottages - not sure how you are meant to cross the railway 'legally' at the pass itselfwychwood01/11/2014

On a wet day with the other three West Drumochter Munros. Started with this one. A fairly easy hill but no summit views. The descent to the bealach with A'Mharchonaich is bouldery at first.milngavie_kenny09/09/2012
