I did the Beinn a' Ghlo group of hills today, with Alex McBride, from the nice new car park at Loch Moraig near Blair Atholl. This is a repeat for us both, but we included a new Munro Top for me, which I had missed previously.

1) Carn Liath (975m), a Munro
2) Bràigh Coire Chruinn-bhalgain (1070m), a Munro
3) Càrn nan Gabhar (1121m), a Munro
4) Airgiod Bheinn (1061m), a Munro Top

I didn't fancy the long walk out on tired legs, also Carn Liath was in cloud on approach, so opted to do the circuit of Airgiod Bheinn and the three Beinn A' Ghlo Munros anti-clockwise. It turned out to be a good choice. | TRG318 | 28/07/2022 |

My fifth Munro.
There are three huge cairns on this very long hill top. The third one is the summit. We climbed to the top of all three! | eilidh | 06/05/2018 |
Climbed from Loch Moraig- up the track alongside Allt Coire Lagain- to Carn nan Gabhar first- then Braigh Coire Chruinn-bhalgain and finishing with Carn Laith returning down the main ascent route. | chillyman8 | 08/10/2017 |
With TMD. We walked the Beinn a’ Ghlò range. Firstly climbing Càrn Liath (975m) before continuing to Bràigh Coire Chruinn-bhalgain (1070m), then climbing to Airgiod Bheinn (1061m) before finally reaching the ultimate summit of the range at Càrn nan Gabhar, at 1129 metres. From the last summit there is no easy way back, so we dropped very steeply down the side of the mountain to Loch Loch to see the RAF Hercules XV 193 crash site, before making the long walk back through the valley on the track. | meltdiceburg | 02/06/2017 |

After Braigh Coire Chruinn bhalgain. Went to all the possible high points. Descended via Airgiod Bheinn for the walk out to Loch Moraig on a path under Carn Liath. A fine days ridge walking. | mindlessflogger | 30/05/2016 |
This trio of hills present a significant walking challenge which we discovered was a running challenge for many. The guide recommended climbing the closest first. We selected to reverse the order to offer and increasing incentive to complete the trip. After walking the rough track we turned off at the cairn marking the beginnings of a well worn track across the heather leading to a steep ascent via a stoney ridge Airgiod Bheinn which leads on to the col and the summit ridge beyond leading to Carn nan Gabhar with its trig point and 1 metre higher summit cairn, beyond. Moving back, contouring round to the col to Braigh Coire Chruinn-Bhalgain which was achieved with a steep initial ascent followed by a finely graded sigmoid ridge to the Carn Liath with airy views across the rolling surrounding countryside. The well graded descent helped the legs cope with the last miles of this tremendous walk made better by favourable weather conditions. | david.walker40 | 15/05/2016 |
