I did the Beinn a' Ghlo group of hills today, with Alex McBride, from the nice new car park at Loch Moraig near Blair Atholl. This is a repeat for us both, but we included a new Munro Top for me, which I had missed previously. 1) Carn Liath (975m), a Munro 2) Bràigh Coire Chruinn-bhalgain (1070m), a Munro 3) Càrn nan Gabhar (1121m), a Munro 4) Airgiod Bheinn (1061m), a Munro Top Beinn a' Ghlo, means hill of the mist, but that wasn't the case today. Blue skies today the end and cracking views all day, 09:35hrs all in.chillyman822/07/2023

I didn't fancy the long walk out on tired legs, also Carn Liath was in cloud on approach, so opted to do the circuit of Airgiod Bheinn and the three Beinn A' Ghlo Munros anti-clockwise. It turned out to be a good choice.TRG31828/07/2022

With TMD. We walked the Beinn a’ Ghlò range. Firstly climbing Càrn Liath (975m) before continuing to Bràigh Coire Chruinn-bhalgain (1070m), then climbing to Airgiod Bheinn (1061m) before finally reaching the ultimate summit of the range at Càrn nan Gabhar, at 1129 metres. From the last summit there is no easy way back, so we dropped very steeply down the side of the mountain to Loch Loch to see the RAF Hercules XV 193 crash site, before making the long walk back through the valley on the track.meltdiceburg02/06/2017

solo hike over the Beinn a' Ghlo group from just north of loch Moraig over Carn Liath, BCCB, Carn nan Gabhar and Airgiod Bheinn. This day felt like one slice of bread of a Colorado 14'er sandwhich as I was going out to California for a week followed by 4 days in Colorado in which on 13th Sept, I climbed highest peak of Continental divide Grays Pk 14,270 promptly getting high altitude major headache from transferring from sea level day before. Unwise!! Chose to fly from Glasgow as it's same distance as London from York specifically so I could grab some Munros either side of the trip. Oss and Dubhcraig on the 18th. Solo. From Monzie road end. Followed the track and then path up the SE ridge of Carn Liath to reach the summit. Followed the obvious route to Bràigh Coire Chruinn-Bhalgain and continued to Airgiod Bheinn and Carn nan Gabhar, the highest point of Beinn a’ Ghlo (1129m). The highest point is NE of the trig point, which has height 1120m. Descended to the south and then went SW to join the outward path. Weather was good, but cold with a strong north wind. Some hail.pwbellarby11/05/2002

Beinn a Ghlo' from Loch Moraig; the 4th and final summit was a delight, stony, then a neat little arête on the way down the SW ridge. It was satisfying to vary the route with this section, though negotiating the boulders lower down was tiresome at times. Returned along the Shinigaig track.pwheeler23/05/1995
