Parked at the end of the Glen Affric road (£2). Walked along the track towards Affric Lodge, then took the path almost to the 500m contour, and up over easy angled slopes to the summit. Descended more directly on steeper ground, to the corner of the track. Good viewpoint, but unfortunately the higher hills were in mist. | LizH | 23/05/2019 |

Solo. From car park at NH215242. After ascending Beinn a' Mheadhoin, descended roughly westward to the fence that surrounds an area where trees are regenerating. Followed the fence round the northern side to join the track constructed for the hydro-electric scheme. Shortly after the end of the track, I waded across Abhainn Gleann nam Fiadh, with a little difficulty. A steep vegetated bank to the south of the burn had to be climbed up as well. Up hillside to summit of Am Meallan where highest point is a pointed rock as little west of the cairn. Went SE and south to the end of the tarmac road - a bit rough low down. Along road to car. Warm, dry and excellent views after a cloudy, drizzly start to the day. | pwbellarby | 03/09/2016 |
