Straight up The grassy ski slope under the lift from the carpark. Alone, meeting the Gordon’s on the ridge. Continued to Carn a Gheoidh on superb sunny breezy day.Denise 19/04/2023
Parked at the ski centre (£3 in the cafe or online with a printer). Up service track to Carn Aosda and Cairnwell, then out and back to Carn a Gheoidh and Carn Bhinnein. Heavy snowfall previous day already starting to thaw but down to about 600m. Cloud base improved during the day but limited views. With Gillian.richard6916/04/2023

Second of three hills. Took short cut up heather track which left just a short sttep rubble section of the track to reach the top. Manmade items were a bit of an eyesore! With GMacelizyanne14/10/2022

Chasing the light by this point but at least meant no one else around. From ski centre: Carn Aosda, Creag a’ choire Dhirich, Carn a’ Gheoidh, Carn Bhinnein, Carn nan Sac, The Cairnwell (both tops). Some snow on tops. Started day in sunshine and had descended to howling wind and driving rain by the end. Great fun though! With GFE. 19kmFionalevey02/01/2022
Cairnwell 3 w/ MT in 3hrs 50mins. Biblical rain on drive up as promised by MWIS but stopped the minute my wellies touched the ground. Patchy sun and rain for rest of trip with impressive wind - only in clag for about 25 mins.iangpark01/10/2021

Jan's first ever Munro outing. From Glenshee out to Carn a Gheoidh then return to The Cairnwell and down and up to Carn Aosda. Long stops (by my standards) but walking was only marginally below Naismith - glorious day and she smashed it.SS24/07/2021

From Glenshee Ski Centre (NO 13944 78092) - Carn Aosda - Carn nan Sac - Carn a' Gheoidh - The Cairnwell North Top - The Cairnwell. Navigation not too difficult, a mixture of good tracks and grassy paths throughout. Very windy during most of the walk, especially on The Cairnwell summit.david23020101/07/2019
If feeling lazy, the Glenshee chairlift runs April to October (weather permitting). First up 9.30am (far too late for the average hill-bagger), last up 16.15, last down 16.30. Single £6, return £10. Good cafe and car park. 01339 741320carole engel27/06/2019
