Bivvied on the summit. Unreal sunset, as there was a long medium-height cloud between myself and the sun - which was illuminated red.RichardMurchie10/06/2019

Fantastic views, lovely scrambling opportunities for future visits. Re-traced my steps to pick up my rucksack to continue the route to Beinn Bhreac.Dazingdale10/05/2016

As part of complete traverse of Pirnmill Hills ridge all the way from this top to the Marilyn Meall nan Damh, via Beinn Bharrain / Mullach Buidhe, Beinn Bhreac etc. A grand day's walking. On Casteal na h-Iolaire, the wee rocky tor looks higher from the cairn, but the cairn looks higher from the tor - not sure which is the true summit.milngavie_kenny24/07/2012

nice rocky summit, see S8730. RHW04/04/2010
Done en route to Mullach Mor. No views, mist. Quite rocky summit with sizeable cairn.Aye Jimmy28/07/2009
During a New Year week on Arran. A cold but clear, overcast day with Martin66 & Shaky. Took the usual way up from Pirnmill but encountered thick ice on the innocent looking ridge leading up to the SW top. Chopped up this with ice axes & continued round, again icily, to the main summit. Didn't fancy dealing with the ice descending the same way or the corrie descent, so continued round to Beinn Bhreac & then down steep but easy slopes at dusk to rejoin the outward route. A very fine day out.NotReallyABagger02/01/2009
