Logged Descriptions  (logged by 47 users)ByDate of Ascent
Parked at end of track and apart from meeting a herd of cattle in the mist all very straightforward. A miserable wet winters day.Crumblie203/01/2024
From minor road to N. With B and R.jenx28/09/2023
From north east up the track via cow shed.N.Morters22/04/2023
A 2hr circular walk from the path through Clune Hill Wood. This gives access to Clune Hill, then SW to Culhawk Hill, from where a landcover track goes across the hill ridge to the fort on Castle Hill. The track continues eastwards to the road and along to the track up to Meams Hill. Returned to the car via the road, which is pretty quiet.summitter25/08/2022
Parked on bend by gate to N. Most trees have been felled. Along track to 2nd gate, then straight up to summit via hatch gate. Onwards to Culhawk Hill.Minto18/12/2021
From gate to NE, Then on to Culhawk Hill. Sunny and above the low lying fog banks.NormanW18/12/2021
Parked at the gate at the track end to Clunehill Wood (felled and mixed replanting). Followed Belfarm's route, which still applies through the new trees. Interesting little 'gate hatch'. Pleasant short walk with good views from the summit.LizH17/11/2021
Park at track gate. Through gate, second rough track on left loops into the track going straight up the old fire break. Left along fence, still on track to climb through hatch, saving climbing fence. Head up to obvious minor Crag, track close by which goes over summit.Belfarm 24/08/2020
culhawk hill and clune hill from the quarry to the east.robertphillips14/12/2019
Solo trip. Good view of the Highland edge and of snowy hills to the north.Invicta1401/04/2018
There is a 'gate' in the fence above the end of the (partially cleared)forest road. Reasonable straight through trees from there.Tony S21/01/2018
From road corner SE of Balloch. West along track as far as end of cleared area, then up the north face alongside the uncleared wood, to avoid a new, barbed and rabbit wired fence along the east part of the north face.Topographer5720/10/2017
Parked and ascended by the track through the wood.JohnW25/10/2013
Parked at start of track at 357 575. Up first firebreak across barbed wire fence. Steeply up to top. Back via firebreak almost due N of top.chrisbien07/08/2010
