| Parked at the Spittal of Glenmuick (£5 cash/card in machine). Took the track on the N side of loch and up to above the Falls of the Glasallt from where a stalkers path goes up the SE ridge to Creag a Ghlas-uillt. From there the walk around the top of Allt an Dubh-loch valley opens up - Eagles Rock, Carn a'Choire Bhoidheach, Carn an t-Sagairt Beag, Carn an t-Sagairt Mor, Fafernie, Cairn Bannoch, Cairn of Gowal, Creag an Dubh-loch, Broad Cairn - and follows the track back down on the S side of Loch Muick. Long day with a cold wind but wonderful views. | Solo. From near Spittal of Glenmuick. Went along track SW of Sptittal of Glenmuick, taking the path that follows the NE shore of Loch Muick to join the track on NW side of Loch Muick. Thence along the track to Glas-allt-Shiel and up the path NW past the waterfall to the bridge over the Glas Allt. Here I took the narrow path used by stalkers that goes on to the broad SE ridge of Creag a’ Ghlas-uillt and up this ridge to the summit.
