Circular walk from Whean with John & Mike - dry, but windy and cold on ridgebarnz4817/09/2019
Easy longish day from Hotel. All weathers. Decent from Ben Tirran slightly more complicated than it should have been by number of new estate tracks, fences and both planting and felling but with some adjustments and river crossings, got there. With MM, AM, NM.kenmorti06/05/2019
With Mum, Dad, and Nick. Weather started clear, wintry showers at summitandymort06/05/2019
Very windy (constant, 50mph forecast), bright sunshine. Snow on ground. Trade route up and down after sleeping in van. Off hill by 9.51am. Rounsfell09/03/2019
From Adielinn at 352715. The path NE meets an access/shooters track to Loch Wharral. Easy walking to summit but cloud descended. Just over 2.5 hours solo return as Storm Hector approached.bolton13/06/2018
From Clova Hotel, followed path to Loch Brandy, then E of loch up to Green Hill, then eastwards towards White Hill, SE to Ben Tirran (The Goet), returning along paths and track to the W side of Adielinn plantation, and back to hotel along the roadkdbennett28/01/2018
Snow to the valley and some deep drifts around. A fine hill day with good views and the White Mounth clearly living up to its nameDavid Bell01/12/2017
Up here early glad I set off at 6.20am as on the way down a number of people on their way up. Good views from summit. Back at car by 9.40. Company: Soloiandesbottes23/05/2017

Unexpected bonus to get this far owing to firm dry terrain (and feet) meaning quick progress. Left summit at 10pm, down in glen before 11 then 8km along road and back to car by 12:30am.alda26/05/2015
Ascended from Aidielinn plantation to summit via paths and tracks. Made a circuit above Loch Wharral via Rough Craig to return to starting pointraffemeister09/02/2015
Club meet , starting from the big pile of logs near Wheen. it was very foggy so unfortunately we didn't see Loch Wharrell. Once on the top it was a very easy walk along in the fog. But we managed a small view to Loch Brandy on the way down.tallblond28/09/2014
Solo good sunny day started at glen clover hotelNozzer30/05/2014
Parked at Adielinn Plantation. Saw 1 large herd of deer between 60-80 head and a smaller herd of about 30. On the ascent cloud was blowing over quickly but from Ben Tirran to the trig pillar about 1.2m visability was all I had. A lot of deep snow. On descent I dropped to Loch Wharral, half frozen and beautiful. Saw 3 others on the hill walking round the Craigs of Loch Wharral. About 30 -40 mountain hares most in their white coats were having fun on thesnow covered slopes down to the Loch.LizzieG02/03/2014

One of the ways to bag 2 Corbetts in a day. Bag an easy one in the morning. Then drive 30 miles to the next glen and bag another. Unremarkable walk with no views.gman02/06/2007

Cairngorm Club Bus meet. With a fellow member. From the car park at the end of the Glen Esk road. We walked along the track on the north side of Loch Lee and up the glen past Falls of Unich and Falls of Damff to a ruined building where the path ends. We followed a burn to the summit of Muckle Cairn before joining another path. We left it to go over White Hill (855m) to reach the summit of Ben Tirran (The Goet). We then headed for Green Hill where we met some other club members. We walked together round the rim above Loch Brandy to the Snub. We had time in hand so we decided on an extension to Boustie Ley, descending via Ben Reid. Weather was excellent.pwbellarby06/10/2002

Direct descent from Clova Hotel to Green Hill from the shore of Loch Brandy (waves), then over to Ben Tirrian. First day on hills this trip so I snubbed The Snub but I needn't have worried about the snow-only on the plateau was it ice/crust. Delightful and very quick down to Loch Whirral, disturbing dozens of Mountain Hares. I then went to follow a very obvious stakers path- zig zags to Inchdowrie- but this had gone to seed and the surface had been taken over by bog. The gate to the road was nearer Clova than Inchdowrie, involving a nice walk though birch covered moraines containing lchans and then pasture. That was 1998- I bet there's a bulldozed track now? A few showers befor 1400 hrs, glorious sunny, windy after.pwheeler17/04/1998
