Up the track in increasingly cloudy conditions. Straightforward to the top, cloud down to the road by the time I got back to the car.the pigguy 21/12/2023
I parked on the Perthshire/Angus border and followed the track marked on the map. On the way up I was stampeded by cattle. I stood my ground and they backed off. Very unpleasant experience. Once up on top it was extremely windy but the views were phenomenal. On the way down I followed the fence line to the western edge of the field next to the plantation to avoid the cattle and have an escape route. No further issues though. Time taken 70 minutes for 3 miles. Did see Roe Deer and first Redwings of the season.isabelle06/10/2023
Cold windy morning with the cloud coming and going to reveal excellent far off views of the surrounding area.Alex C02/10/2023

Parked by the stream crossing at 164646. Over an old gate west of the stream and joined the main path at about the 430m contour. Quick bag and then retraced steps.Owen B28/04/2023
Parked at burn on B951, NO 1646 6460, ascended via Carn na Cuigeil, then onto Mount Blair. Sunny throughout, a paraglider took off from the summit as I reached it. I descended down the main path to the B951 and along backnto my car, 2hrs all in.chillyman807/04/2023
With Eve. Straightforward walk up track up to the summit. As we approached the top, we realised we were being chased by thick cloud sweeping up from Glen Shee. Although we won the race to the summit, and caught a brief sight of the Sidlaws, the weather soon rushed in so we didn't hang about!RufusHodge11/02/2023
From the road N of the hill first ascending Creag na Cuigeil following an ATV track, where this peters out just keep head up in the same direction. Soon a hollow in the ground with a few stones marks the summit area. From here straight up SW to the summit which has a large mast, a large cairn, a trig pillar and view indicator and shelter. From the summit down steeply on the usual ascent path but veered off to the right near the bottom to avoid cowsWayne Mac17/08/2022

Parked at the signs, beware, there's been lots of trees up-rooted and there's now less space to park (July 2022). Walked up road for 400m and followed track to top. Good views.Jhimmy09/07/2022
Up and down from the B951.rhalstead18/06/2022
Bagged with N, G and H. Straight up and down from the B951. Fine day with decent visibility but winds on top and therefore windchill quite brutal even at this height.johnkaysleftleg20/10/2021

1/3 Mount Blair, Duchray Hill, Carn an Fhidhleir, all from the col on the road dissecting the two hill areas. Up the side of the forest to Duckray.nickywood103/07/2021
First Marilyn of the year on the first day that Nicola allowed us out of our counties after the lockdown. Great weather and managed to nab a parking spot at the road summit, right by the gate, for a walk up the tourist route on a busy day; everyone had the same idea. Unused to seeing other people on the hills, quite a shock.Gill16/04/2021
Straight forward up and down... slidey, frosty ground. Solo.Larry Groo10/04/2021
Straight up and down in knee deep snow. 1 hr up, 20 mins back down. Very clear views south over perthshire and north over Glenshee and beyondNicky C01/02/2021
Parked at Cray then walked up the carless B951 to the path up to Mt Blair. Huge summit cairn and nice viewpoint. Continued along a more narrow path through the heather to Over Craig then west to join a lovely old sunken track to Borland. Continued down past an old mill to the main road then once at the telephone box library took the minor road north back to Cray. About 2.5hrs total.summitter21/11/2020
By obvious route from N. Shameful bag in dire weather – unrelenting rain, clag and snell SE wind. Rounsfell29/10/2020

From just outside Cray at Perthshire/Angus border, straight up. Cloud on top so couldn't see the 40+Munro suggested by the interesting troposcope. On to Duchray hill.MichaelF18/05/2019

Straightforward solo walk from the Church at Cray using the SMC Corbetts route. Over heather and short turf with a good track towards the top. Sunny calm day. Great toposcope marred by the telecommunications tower. 1 1/2 hoursalexmaclennan09/04/2019
From B951 summit, via Creag na Cuigeil, a way suggested in the SMC guide to the Grahams. This had an ATV track, then little paths that could easily be lost in burned areas, all the way to the summit. With the standard route down, it gave an interesting circuit. Views were long- as far as the Moorfoot Hills. Cloudy, but base about 3700 ft, much lower to the W. With Pete. Continued to Mealne Letter.pwheeler26/03/2019
A short walk to make the most of indifferent weather. From the road over the col to the summit by the track and back. A superb viewpoint, with 44 Munros visible on a clear day according to the summit viewfinder. I saw none, sadly, but was compensated by sun through the cloud turning the flanks of nearby hills golden-green, and the Spittal of Glenshee's verdant green picked out by the light so that it looked like Rivendell.Nick Down123/09/2017

After completing Badanan, Monanmenach and Mealne Letter decided to test the legs or tell them to shut up on the way up. Parked at forest, up through gate to summit. Actually best views of the day from here. Shame about mast. Cairn informative. Company: Soloiandesbottes17/05/2017

Whilst walking the cateran trail. Good path all the way up. Excellent views from the summit.Stevend123/04/2016
2 in same day. Badandun Hill NO 207678 S/F NO 189684 and Mount Blair NO 167629 S/F NO 155642. Sunny day but cool, high broken cloud giving great views all day. Mount Blair must be one of the best viewpoints in Scotland despite its low height. Combined ascent of about 900 m, a typical Munro but was very tired by second sumit and knees aching on discent. Getting on a bit, need to get fiter again.John Young01/04/2016

The path on the map from the B961 is slightly wrong. And the viewpoint symbol is completely misleading. I couldn't see anything - mind you, there was a hailstorm. And then sod's law really struck. After doing three hills in constant rain by the time I got to the bottom of this one there wasn't a cloud in the sky, but as it was dusk it was too late to bag anything else.Martin R20/11/2012

Burns Supper at Muir Cottage (Carngorm Club hut). Solo. I drove over to Glen Shee and the B951 road. I walked to the summit of Mount Blair from a point immediately east of woods. I returned to the road further east, crossed the road and continued to the summit of Mealna Letter also known as Duchray Hill passing over Carn Derig.pwbellarby23/01/1999
