Along the Hebridean Way from the seaside CP at the entrance to the Craigston/Borve minor road. Once W of Grianan climbed across dry grasses and heather to the summit. Back down to HW and across bone-dry ground to Beinn Mhartainn. Continued W over slabs and grass back to the beach road.summitter12/06/2023

From Craigston via the Hebridean Way.Chris Peart09/08/2018
A fine walk using the bus, from Cleit road end, to the high point of the road, and a gully to the summit of Beinn Chliad. SW to the road W of the quarry, then manky soft vegetables to Beinn Bhirisig and Corra-Bheinn. The next bit is superb, down to the bealach, and an easy rake below the crest of the N ridge of Grianan, then on to Hartabhal, Sheabhal N top and Heabhal, from where a very easy path leads past the statue to the road back to Castlebay. A very fine walk, superb views all the way and highly recommended.Gill08/08/2018

Craigstone to Castlebay. Walking off from the summit I nearly tripped over a golden eagle who then nonchalantly took to the air & headed away into the eastern corrie.Smudge08/05/2014
