Meall Mor circuit from Stronachlachar. 1 of 5thekirkie pirate24/03/2024
Parked at Stronachlachar Pier. (£6 for 8hours - card payments or cash). 5km walk to the bridge at the head of Loch Katrine. A bike would make this section much quicker as it is a good tarmacced road. Immediately over the bridge, through a gate and steeply uphill on rhs of stream to a prominent rock tor seen on the horizon. Passing the rock on the right up a grassy rake, followed next stream on the lhs up to the gap in the crags. High point on right. Easier than expected. Solo.Dangerous Dave04/03/2024
From An Garadh to Meall Mor Far W Top. Cycled from Stronaclachlachar to Glengyle then diagonally up to An Garadh and along the ridge, ending with Meall Mor Far W Top. Pure sunshine and overall a belter of a day.sclater27/03/2023
Across from Beinn a'Choinn then back to Stronachalachlardavechaffey28/11/2022
MMC walk with Kevin Murray and Tony Workman. Low cloud and smirr but otherwise fine day. Stiff ascent and steep descent from the access road. 18k, 680m,6 1/2 hoursalexmaclennan25/09/2022
From Stob a' Choin. Descended steep grassy slopes to the col at 351m. Straightforward grassy ascent to Bealach na Cloiche, then picked up a faint path contouring below Stob an Duibhe. Bypassed the far east top to the south, bagged the east top, then an easy walk to the summit. Descended grassy slopes NNE, very easily across the River Larig after a dry few days, then followed the excellent track back to Inverlochlarig.Owen B19/09/2022
Parked before P&D CP at NN 4033 1022. Good biking to NN 3804 1343. Track NW till clear of bracken (NN 358 154). Up to ridge and on to Meall Mor, Stob Duibhe, An Garadh. Descended SW. From deer fence (NN 396 134) bracken dreadful. Once at trees, which are open, vegetation much easiercarole engel05/09/2022
from Inverlochlarig farm to end of track and straight up to the ridge just W of the summit; return same way.IanHHill17/08/2022
Walked in from Inverlochlarig. Up gentle northern slopes to ridgeline just east of summit. Marylin 600.Jossker05/08/2022
Cycled in from Stronachlachar, then quite a tough ascent on the hottest Scottish day ever recorded. The dense bracken directed me from the bridge over Glen Gyle Water to the dry river gullies due north above, one of which enabled a relatively straightforward climb to about two-thirds of the way up to Meall Mor, which opened onto easier grass higher up. Then it was westwards to bag the satellite summits, finishing on Stob Bealach nan Corp. SW descent back to the Glen Gyle track and a refreshing dip in the burn.summitter19/07/2022
Circuit from Inverlochlarig in bright sunny conditions. Followed track W along glen until it ended, crossed river around point at which it forked and followed a burn steeply up to just W of summit of Meall Mor. Visited the (slightly lower) top NW of summit, then the summit and pitched tent overnight on a ledge with outstanding view of the Crianlarich Munros. Continued to E top, Far E top and Stob an Duibhe. Then followed interesting ridge with some large rock boulders / outcrops to summit of An Garadh. Returned to bealach and descended NE anbd then around N flank of Stob a'Choin to cross foot bridge and ascent route back to start.RobertP18/03/2022
Stob Breac (G), Stob a'Choin (C), Meall Mor (G), 25km, 10hrsHuwel03/12/2021
From Stronachlachar, which is a mistake in October. There's only one thing worse than bracken and that's dying bracken; the whole south side of the hill is covered in the vile stuff. Where there are small gaps, there is either waist high tussock or crags. Rather than suffer, I walked up the pylon track to the sheepfold below Bealach nan Corp, then headed E up deer tracks to the ridge line between the 650m tops then followed the line of least resistance mainly along the old fence over various bumps and drops to the summit. Still lots of steep ground but not too much tussock and almost no bracken, though it's a much longer way. Not that great really, it's a bit of a shit hill; basically a vegetated cliff with lots of bumps and crags along the ridge. The walk along Loch Katrine is the best bit.Gill16/10/2021
A round of Meall Mor, its East and Far East tops, Stob an Duibhe and An Garadh from Stronachlachur. The path on the RHS of the Sput stream is pretty vestigial and bracken and midges are constant companions to around 400m. The ridge line is an excellent, surprisingly bumpy, sky walk. Saw a grey heron and two red squirrels from the Loch Katrine road near Glengyle.Nick Down119/06/2021

Cycled from Inverlochlarig. Continued to Meall Mor East Top, Stob an Duibhe & An Garadhduchally28/05/2019
Walked in from Pier café car park to end of loch. Through gate, alongside deer fence and then steeply up right- and then left-hand side of stream, through cleft and on to summit. Visited other 'tops' around the summit just in case!MichaelF21/05/2018
5 of 5: From East Top.ChrisR07/06/2017
Cycled from Stronaclachan Pier Inn over bridge at NW end of Loch Katrine as far as edge of wood, steeply up above right bank of stream as far as 383145 (elevation 500m) then above left bank of next stream as far as 382150 (690m).Topographer5722/04/2017
From Stronachlachar ferry car park. Construction site at west end of Loch Katrine so had to go further half hour along private road. Steep going up towards An Garadh contoured Stob an Duibhe to summit. Headed back towards burn coming down from Stob an Duibhe & followed fence beside burn. No fences to climb if you keep burn side of fence. 7 hours 15rogreeves19/04/2017
from stronachlachar biked in to bridge at head of the loch, up RHS of stream to meall mor revisit then around tops meall mor east top, meall mor far east top, stob an duibhe, an garadh.robertphillips04/04/2017
Great cycling by Loch Katrine from Stronachlachar. Then straight up through bracken and crags to misty top.jenx14/09/2016
With Jenx from Sronlachacher pier. Easy 5km cycle, then after bridge a direct line up the hill. 600m in 1km, pleasantly steep. Cairn repair job on top after previous surveys ;-). Back same way and back to van in just over 3 hrs.nordicstar14/09/2016
Confirmed summit location, removed and improved cairnalda04/09/2016
A round of the Graham and 3 Graham tops from head of Loch Katrine after biking in from StronachLachar. A steep rough climb through a lot of leggy bracken and more of same on final decent. In summit cloud spent some time confirming I had located first top correctly. Later in day when cloud cleared it was pretty obvious. Had planned on crossing over to the Corbett to east but in rough going time ran out.dickscroop02/09/2016

Plenty of snow down, Martin Stewart suffering. Came in from car park at end of road pleasant walk up the large track then straight up to summit. Good views. Company: Martin Stewartiandesbottes21/11/2015
A fun duathlon challenge: - buy a 4 hour car park ticket to save a couple of quid on the all day price - cycle 8.5 miles along the edge of Loch Katrine (not as flat as you'd think!) - walk/jog round the circuit of An Garadh (HuMP), Stob an Duibhe (P80) and Meall Mor (Marilyn) - a rough tussocky 5.8 miles with 900+ m of ascent - cycle back total time 3hrs 59AndyS01/09/2015
Meall Mor (NN 383151) S/F NN 402105. Usual crossing of Loch Katrine to campsite. 2nd attempt to climb, slow, almost 6 hours. Cool with heavy occasional showers. No problems, good views down loch, cloudbase >3000' mainly overcast, light wind. Camp 2nd night then paddle out next morning.John Young01/05/2015
