Parked at the school in Carmichael (NS 9232 3853). The most awkward bit was getting through the strip of woodland and out onto open ground. Had a wander round the various 350m ring contours, then across to the monument to bag the pivot benchmark. | jonglew | 13/02/2023 |
Parked in church driveway as school not happy with parking there during school hours. Otherwise seems okay. Along track and turn left after lodge house where notice in trees says Carmichael History Walk. We followed it for a short distance and then straight up open hillside. Only one low non barb fence. | Crumblie2 | 07/09/2022 |
Plenty of room at the school car park, even when it is open. Through the gate at Westgate, into the woods and quickly up over two fields with one low stock fence. | NormanW | 05/01/2022 |
From the large school carpark at Carmichael. Along the road and up via the boggy nature trail then over a stock fence and across the various humps to the memorial. Returned via a gate leading track joining the estate road 200m from the entrance. Sign on gate said Bull in Field. There was no bull. | MacBell | 16/02/2021 |
Direct route by parking at school, through the gateway of Westgate and turning left onto the history walk. Initially vague and a bit muddy it quickly veers into the field of sheep cropped grass where you can make a beeline for the summit. Only one fence, no actual gates. | Belfarm | 16/10/2020 |
From point 237 on road to WSW. Interesting route but probably easier going from the school. | sclater | 01/08/2020 |
Through the estate and up following the ATV track. Be wary of cattle. | DrumalbinView | 07/07/2020 |

Pretty much straight up after going through wall at the private road sign. Just one easy fence crossing. With B And R. | jenx | 18/02/2020 |
Parked by Carmichael Primary School. Through a gate and up a vehicle track to a second gate. Followed the track up, then through a gate in the wall. Two gates into and out of the strip of woodland, then grass and heather to the summit. Pleasant walk. | LizH | 04/01/2020 |
Late afternoon short hill from Carmichael parking near church. Passed primary school the up fence line dividing fields (exit on left up track. Crosses the thin forest strip, a could of tall gates through enclosure then up grassy slopes to summit. Couple of bumps, most norther looks highest | N.Morters | 26/02/2019 |
Pretty good grass track from Westgate. | summitter | 13/12/2018 |
Highest point on middle summit. Don't be tempted to skirt around the tops on way back from Hyndford monument as the going underfoot is a bit tougher and will slow you down on the descent. | Steve511 | 16/06/2017 |
From Carmichael. Knoll just to SE does not appear much lower than listed summit | RobertP | 29/05/2017 |

Like the rest of the class, started from the school. No horses were harmed in the bagging of this hill. | Martin R | 04/01/2014 |
Parked at Westgate Lodge, but could have parked at foot of second way up through the trees. Fairly rough going for my new hip, but nice hill to visit on way South from Glen Coe to Manchester | GordonAdshead | 02/09/2012 |
357m GPS, rough grass, NW top slightly higher than SE. From SW, park at school, E thru gate, tk past pheasant pense, fence, tussocky ascent | RHW | 19/11/2011 |
Park in deserted school car park at Carmichael. Up through strip of woodland onto a tussocky moor to top at 11.00. GPS indicated that the southernmost 350m contour ring, by a small tree. Buzzards. | arranc | 26/02/2011 |
