From Blairoch easily out track and up Colt Hill. Going tougher in pathless long grass to Lamgarroch. That's when I went wrong doubling back to go through felled area (it was horrid). Made worse when I saw track coming off on east ridge from below. Up track to col between Mulwhanny (out and back) and Green Hill which was again pathless long wet grass. Decided to use forestry track back (much longer) as I was fed up of the tough going.SS31/07/2021
Trackside parking opposite electrical sub-stn (NX 7160 9481). Brutal ascent up to Dalwhat Hill, then on to the first of the Striding Arches before coming across to here. On to Mullwhanny -> Lamgarroch -> Colt Hill -> Black Hill -> Benbrack for a 11 mile round of the 3 arches.jonglew17/04/2021
Followed gerrybowes route, parking at the end of the road just beyond Appin Lodge. Followed forest tracks to NX73861 96502, where a rough track curved round right to meet a fire break. Up the break over long grass, moss and stony ground to NX73746 96406, where the break went right, ending at a low wall (NX73688 96458). Through young trees(50m) to a fence and open ground. ATV track almost to the summit, though the first part of the ATV track now has young trees planted on it. Good views to three 'striding arches' from the summit.LizH17/09/2020
Parked on hardstanding by side of forest entrance near Appin Lodge at 752975 - Up forest tracks to start of firebreak at 738965 - Up firebreak between young trees to col, over BW fence & then up ATV track which can be followed to within 150yd of unmarked summit. Continued to Mullwhanny. (S)gerrybowes28/11/2019

The striding arches are nice, the most interesting things in the area.Alan Moore15/04/2014
Circuit from copse at 715950. Couldn't find marked path so headed up various rides from Benbuie. Easy enough to walk inside forest as trees are mature and well spaced. Went back SE to visit first arch, then followed ridge along till 2nd arch on Colt Hill, then round to 3rd arch on Benbrack. Then followed firebreak and wall down Little Dibdin Crags to windfarm roads which were followed to near Wether Hill. By now it was misty, windy and wet so ideal for visiting windfarm . After Wether Hill SE traverse to bridge near Corriedow and back up road to car. 6 hours and often on 4wd track. Arches are excellent ideaThearlaichdubh22/02/2014
