Parked in lay-by south of Ledard, up path then off to do the two tops on Creag a Bhealaich before rejoining main path and then off left to Ben Venue cairn and my 1000th Hump. On to east top before going Back via Beinn Bhreac and Beinn Chochan. Great views on clear dayPeterD04/06/2023
DRC walk from Leannach. Stayed dry despite the forecasts although not much view from the top.TRG31807/05/2023
Dismal day from Ledard farm. Drizzle and low cloud. Everything was in spate.Jhimmy18/03/2023
Ben Venue from Loch Achray. Walkhighlands routehummusg01/03/2023
From Loch Achray pay parking. Followed waymarked paths. Cloud base at about 600m, lower on the way down, disappointing views. Damp, mild, not very windy. Surprisingly rocky from the 580m col to the summit. Would be a lovely hill in better conditions. Retraced steps most of the way but took a slightly shorter less undulating route via Loch Achray hotel grounds. With PJ, AJ, TH.Owen B14/02/2023
Main path up and down from Ben Venue car park (Loch Achray).RobB30/11/2022
SHC walk from Ledard Farm. Straightforward but wet and muddy underfoot most of the way.TRG31827/11/2022
Small carpark at start of Dam road. Up waymarked, stone path to east top and then over to west top. Back same way. Great views, set of to late to bag the nearby HuMPs.Flatfield14/09/2022
From Loch Achray. Very windy at the top. Wet at times.davidpettit8429/12/2021

From Ledard via main path. On to trig summit, then down via Creag a' Bhealaich and tracks on southern flank to Altskeith.quadbarrel13/06/2021
See main Ben Venue Log. Main top had 20 people on it, this I had to myself. Slightly better view of Loch Katrine.Victor29/05/2021
Directly up off piste from dam to N through trees – vegetated scramble at times. Then found fence and path near top. Clagged over, raining, windy. Down trade route. Rounsfell09/05/2021
From Ledard, along track towards Ben Venue, turned off onto old track from near NN457050, and followed that up the flank of Creag a' Bhealaich to a high point, then headed straight up slopes to Stob an Lochain, descended roughly N to rejoin the Ben Venue track, followed that up to main summit, returned along track to its point point, then NW up slopes to Beinn Bhreac, continuing to Beinn Chochan, descended E towards valley of Ledard Burn, crossing it where several tributaries meet, rejoining the main track and returned to Ledardkdbennett23/04/2021
From Ledaig Farm. Natural forest of oak and birch, early wildflowers - primrose, celandine. Chaffinch, Meadow Pipits, Buzzard, Barnacle Geese on farm field. Out of forest across moor to final short climb up to summit. Perfect day, lots of folk near summit. Did not visit lower peak. Return same way. Quite a walk for a Graham.Trotticus15/04/2021

Hiked as part of a Ochils Mountaineering Club day meet, I meet Tom Lockie and David Hills at castleview park and ride, Tom drove to the Ben Venue car park, via Aberfoyle as the Callander road was closed due to flooding. We hiked up and down in 04:55hrs, very windy on top, with hail making it unpleasant at times. Some cracking view of the forth valley and Loch Katrine.chillyman823/02/2020
Solo on a sunny morning - icy patches and cold which kept the boggy parts frozen.mproudfoot28/10/2019
With Dave Roeder and family for his last Graham. From big layby at Ledard (11:10) followed path through woods to open country to col, then along side of ridge to join main path from N at a large cairn. Thence rocky climb to summit and on to trig point before returning. Very hot day; pleasant breeze high up but opressive in valley. Some swimmers on way down. Finished 18:00. Sklow progress but very pleasant company in party of about 10dbb25/08/2019
Parked at road to Katrine dam (13:00) and followed signposted path up Gleann Riabhach, corkscrewing round hill and finally steeply to top, just in cloud. On to 2nd top then back same route. Route from S shorter and better. Finish 17:05dbb29/03/2019
I was amazed at the number of people up here on a Sunday in February. No need to use a map, just follow the sign posts and Sunday walkers! Interestingly not many people head for the summit and just visit the trig point on the E Top! Solo.Dangerous Dave24/02/2019

From Ben Venue car park more or less as per Andrew Dempster's route. Perfect May morning, blue skies, almost too hot! Excellent views. Did East top and then descent down steepish ground to sluice.MichaelF17/05/2018
Ben Venue and East Top from Ben Venue car park. Sunlit walk through birches and forestry, then deep snow above the 450m level. Clear skies alternating with mini-whiteouts as the Pest from the West added to the snow brought by the Beast from the East. Followed the ridgeline from the East Top to rejoin the hill path by the plantation fence.Nick Down109/03/2018
Walked via Loch Ard, climbed summit (cairn and rock next to it) but never had time for the East Top with Trig Point. Amazing views all round but expecially of the Crianlarich Munros.Chris Mac17/07/2017

Solo. From Ledard, Loch Ard. Ascended up path to Ben Venue East Top. From East Top on path to main summit of Ben Venue. Duly stood on rock 25m E of cairn, which is the highest point. There is a single stone on the top of the rock – does this constitute a cairn? Continued on path to rejoin ascent route for the descent.pwbellarby13/05/2016
Via path from P at NN505068. Then to Ben Venue East Top.summitsup18/04/2016
