Parked at end of a new, unmapped, forest road (NT 2574 0597) - up from Seismological Stn. Stell Hill -> Archie Hill -> Black Knowe first. After BK, regained forest road, following it to NT 2751 0742, then across the clear fell using old mapped breaks. After, carried on along county boundary line for 400m, then old break down to forest road returning to car skirting N side of Brock Hill on breaks and directly over clear fell. 13.5k round.jonglew27/02/2021
From Loch Tima up track to high point then followed green line (EC) to ridge - southern tress have been felled so must be first in decades to get a view.SS06/06/2020
Parked at Loch Tima and followed the big loop of forestry track until just west of the summit. Trees are mature, so easy to find a route up and through to the summit. Came directly down to the track from the alternative summit point.LizH25/03/2020

From Loch Tima. For QH took track to FB at top of EC then took straighter way thru trees to tops. Down FB then track to quarry S of BK. Through clear fell and young trees to top. FB and down Black Sike to track then up thru trees over deep ditches to Archie.chrisbien23/06/2019
P Loch Tima, up by Wester Cleuch, straight over forestry road and up old FB by clearfell to remains of fence, quite easy along the top. On to Black Knowe.agentmancuso25/05/2019

Two car linear walk with mae, Loch Tima to Jamestown. 13 hills, 9.5 hours. Very heavy going on ungrazed vegetation. No tree problems encountered (except where we diverted from route to utilise forest roads).jimbloomer27/09/2017

Drove south up to hairpin bend on forestry tack adjacent to extensive felling. Confronted by logging manager who was very friendly but explained that, whilst we were welcome to walk, we should have left the car at the road as it is private woodland. We apologised and he then gave us directions to the summit. All very civilised. Decent bloke. Up burn (Wester Cleuch) towards Middle Hill to crest of hill and then north east along wide mossy break to summitCampbell Singer25/11/2015

Drive up impossible because of recent storms toppling trees. Picked way up through the brash. Forest at top has convenient fire breaks to the summit.Martin R31/12/2013
