From dirt layby (NT 5638 2086). Took a near enough direct (steep) line to hill top. Dusk was falling otherwise might have gone up via the col with the North Top.jonglew08/01/2020

Usual route from nr Burncocks, little path from col goes via small quarry. Enjoyed benches and view on top. Much cloud on higher hills but clear on all the dolerite tops above the Teviot Lowlands and Melrose. With Pete. Sunny after morning rain.pwheeler25/09/2019

Car parking opposite gate and stile north of Burncrooks. Round to north side and then up grassy ridge just after sunset. Sheep silhouettes against red sky. Lost Alan Whatley's head torch which he had lent to me as I went on to complete TuMP in the dark.Campbell Singer22/11/2015
