Large covered reservoir in fenced enclosure at summit. Ground on W side of fence possible point but suspect disturbed ground. Great views. Sunshine after a grey morning and heavy rain shower. | RichardM | 06/02/2022 |
From parking area next to picnic tables at SS 5291 8878, up wide tracks to the trig point which lies a few metres W. of the fenced enclosure. Also, over locked pedestrian gate on S. side of enclosure & up steps to top of covered reservoir. Fine views. (S) | gerrybowes | 22/10/2021 |
Easy ascent from picnic area east of summit following the good track to the top. Good views across the Gower and down to Three Cliffs Bay which we went to explore afterwards. Sunny/breezy but quite hazy conditions. Last hill of the day. Earlier we bagged Harding's Down, Rhossili Down, Llanmadoc Hill and Ryer's Down. | DanTrig | 04/09/2021 |

Ascended from car park on main road to South with wife Nicola and son James who we were collecting from Swansea University for the Easter Hols. Approached up minor road then easy tracks from east along ridge. Summit as previously described although we found a big rock near the highest natural point. Top of rock still slightly lower than covered reservoir which I explored via an easy gate and steps, which made the barbed wire fence surround a bit pointless. Explored highest clumps and places. Great views of Oxwich Bay and Three Cliffs bay which we walked down to later. | pdantic | 23/03/2018 |
Parked by the care home and up the track straight to the top. The highest point is a covered reservoir with the trig just beyond slightly lower. The fence surrounding the reservoir is easily scaleable. | clivevilla | 23/05/2017 |
From picnic site at Penmaen. Good track to top. Went to trig and NE corner of compound. Superb weather with good views of Three Cliffs and Oxwich Bay and across to North Devon. | PeterD | 05/10/2016 |
From NT free carpark to summit close to trigpoint next to reservoir compound. | sooztops | 21/09/2016 |
from Penrice to Oxwich Castle, Oxwich Burrows to Penmaen, Up onto Cefn Bryn trig then topograph back to Penrice. mixed terrain, dry cloudy, some sun, warm but windy.. | apricorum | 02/07/2016 |
From the car park for Mean Ceti (158 m. spot; GR: 492500), waited for cloud to start to clear so a late start at 1220 hrs. To coast via Mill Wood, Oxwich Castle, a good route. Then Oxwich Point and woods, over the dunes and sands of Oxwich Bay (this all ok even at the high tide). A way up to Little Tor worked well, then I went via Penmaen and all the way along the Cefn Bryn whaleback ridge to the car. Fine views by now, though hazy as the colder weather of the previous week had gone. Just under 5 h for 11+ miles of diverse and excellent walking. | pwheeler | 02/05/2016 |

8/9 Park just north of Penrice and follow tracks to reservoir, the trig pillar is the other side of the reservoir. | Fergalh | 29/01/2015 |
From roadside car park just N of Penrice. N to Cefn Bryn ridge, E along ridge taking in the trig pillar. Due S off ridge to Nicholaston Farm and return along coast path. Not sure where highest point was - the trig, or the (man-made) covered reservoir? Did both to cover both bases. | jonglew | 10/11/2013 |

Walked up via the gower way along the well constructed footpath. The trig point is in a sunken hollow and the GPS reading is near by.Along the fence line with the reservior seems the highest point but don't know if this has neen raised with the construction of the reservior. | hodder | 30/01/2013 |
Easy parking E at 528 887. Stroll. Scantily fenced reservoir. Trig point in depression presumably under its own weight. | destaylor | 01/09/2011 |
