From the Nature Reserve Car park. Followed main tracks to the SE corner of the ramparts then muddy track left which takes you straight to the summit without brambles. We Enjoyed playing in the Den near the summitIris Jephcote19/02/2024

From the Nature Reserve Car park. Followed main tracks to the SE corner of the ramparts then muddy track left which takes you straight to the summit without brambles. A really well constructed Den near the summit area which the girls loved playing in.Visited High point and a few other high bits in the area.Jephcote8319/02/2024
From Woodland Trust car park (Credenhill Woods Carpark on Google Maps), follow the broad track up. Just after passing through hillfort ramparts a small track forks left. Take this route to avoid scrambling through brambles as others describe. If you follow the main track as far as the large woodland clearing then you've come too far. Very nice walk up here. Saw wren and song trush.Pete West14/02/2022
Stopped off after a visit to a friend in Mansell Hope. Rainy morning but enjoyed my quick jaunt to the summit :)Gerry the Ranger13/02/2022

From car park up various paths to HPPeterD18/10/2020
Used well-maintained tracks most of way, used decent RoW paths to get up to HP quickly. Seemed a nice place for a walk. The woodland trust have a long way to go to restore a diverse, native woodland though. The HP was adorned with a horse chestnut sapling mined by the eponymous miner moth (neither native!)pwheeler04/09/2020
Woodland Trust car park at SO 4450 4400 - Noted RichardM's comment & up wide woodland tracks to the point where is passes through the fort rampart at 451443 - Left the track & headed NW on well-used path to the summit knoll; this lies about 20m SW of path. (S)gerrybowes20/05/2020
Up from car park on good track. Missed the small path to summit and tried to get there from the main track across the brambles. Bad idea, almost there when I was attacked by wasps. Never saw them, just picked up 20 or so stings. Tried again from another angle and found the path which goes right past the summit in runnable woodland. Still close to that byke, but left alone this time. A fine hillfort.fasgadh18/07/2019
Took Woodland Trust Path to near top, then cut across to summit, no views, but a pleasant walk.RyParks28/05/2019
Easy walk from the parking area. The wood has obviously been thinned out a lot to the benefit of bluebells which are starting to come out now. No brambles to hinder access to the summit either.milimana12/04/2019
Easy walk with Jenx and Bryher from main forest CP. new bout of forest felling ongoing, suspended for festive hols. Restarts in January be aware.nordicstar31/12/2018
Forestry works making a bit of a mess lower down. Popular walk with the locals today.jenx31/12/2018
Dark despite being only 17:30 so did not appreciate any of the apparent views! Good track from Woodland Trust Car park almost to the top with just a short easy stretch to the indistinct and unmarked HP within trees. We missed the track and did a 70 m bramble thrash in torchlight!Denise 29/10/2018
Open access, Woodland Trust. Almost dark as we set off from the car park on lane to SE. Summit most easily attained by taking grassy track NW after passing through the gap in the embankment. (alternative is to follow the main track and thrash up through the brambles and nettles as we did!) Tree painted with points of the compass at the high point. Dark.RichardM29/10/2018
Revisit on a nice sunny day, following a visit to the cup-marked stone on Tillington Common. Nicer visit as the forestry clearance has blended in since I was here last.thesweetcheat04/08/2018

A nice walk up from car park on a nice warm spring day. Thinning work in progress but still no views....heavyhorses01/03/2012
Lovely sunny visit after a trip to the fantastic hillfort at Wapley Hill, this one is nearly as nice (will be once the forestry debris has been cleared).thesweetcheat25/02/2012
Car park, path clockwise until at opposite side, to summit, decent through woods to car park.sebcoe8230/11/2011
Busy dog walkers car park at 9am. Sheep resting near summit plus large wooden cattle stockade near open ground to NNE of summit. I agree with David Gradwell. Highland cattle and hardy sheep at Credenhill Park Wood via Woodland TrustDugswell216/09/2011
Parked in the new car park to the south east and followed the various paths pretty much to the top. Used previous baggers coords to confirm I'd reached the summit. No view apart from timber.Father Ted25/08/2011
CP. Followed track then into wood at top.chrisbien18/07/2011
Parked in car park at SO 45502 44009. Plenty of tracks and short cut paths to just east of summit. Leave track here (SO 45139 44457) then nip into trees. Highest point is an obvious knoll with a section of large rotten tree trunk. (SO 45066 44437)David Gradwell27/04/2011
From picnic area on forest tracks. Located top with GPS in deciduous forest.arranc23/10/2010
From car park. Top could be anywhere - flat and wooded with dense canopy - GPS not reliable.destaylor11/09/2010
Easy dog walkMartin R27/06/2010
Easy access via woodland trust car park and good paths.A muddy path leads to the flat summit.Had a walk around the earth remarts as well their is some open ground due to forest clerance which offers some views of the hill fort.hodder17/11/2009
Flat, wooded hill with no obvious top point. Did it with Garnons Hill which is similarly unsatisfactory.clivevilla14/06/2009
