Fairly straightforward from start of footpath on B road to east.Wycombe Wanderer01/10/2023
From open gate directly to South on minor road on grassy track curling up right to corner of woodland then left steeply up track track through woods to upper field where trig is clearly visible up left, whereas hill summit is up right and about 200 metres north of trig and 5 metres highervegibagger03/08/2023

Parking: Layby outside the gates of St Peter's Church, Martley. WR6 6QA.manilena16/08/2021
Train over to Worcester this morning and a selection of interesting Wetherspoons, hills and trigs to fill the day with whilst cycling to Leominster.Alex C19/05/2021
Asked permission to park in Admiral Rodney car park with promise to buy a coffee on return. Accessed from usual point to the south over gate but ground not hard enough to park without blocking gate. Followed track north to another gate then up a steeper track to wooded area. Looked very brambly but is a clear route to the left to the trig pillar. On to summit then making a circular walk by heading straight over. Looked private property to head straight for the road so stayed with vehicle tracks to bring me out on Worcestershire Way near Berrow Farm. Back to the pub and coffee. Turns out I was the very first customer following reopening after nearly 4 months Covid lockdown.mntainman16/04/2021
As jonglew. Verge parking opposite field gate at SO 7433 5806 - Through gate & NW up faint vehicle track to old metal gate/fencing - Over fencing & up faint path through brambles & nettles, meeting summit ridge by trig point - Along ridge to a bit of rotting stump, all that remains of the beacon. (S)gerrybowes20/05/2020
From lane to SW parking by four metal gates. Track then edge of wood round to an ascent through wood to summit field. There is a stile but not easy to find. As cjo says, beacon is now recumbent. Then visited trig a couple of hundred metres to S.Aye Jimmy19/05/2019
Steep pull from south, past pillar to summit beacon. Now recumbant.cjo22/12/2018
A pleasantly secret top, well guarded by woodland. Easy approach from south. With B and R.jenx11/12/2018
With Jenx and Bryher following Jon Glews route from south. Gate allows access to steep bank replanted with small deciduous trees. Quad track followed to 30m from top. Bramble bound section and fence to get throughnordicstar12/11/2018
With K. What a nightmare! Ascended from S. There are pedestrian gates but route very overgrown. Crawling though nettle-infested bracken. Strongly recommend against this route. Summit has fallen beacon. Deducing that the farmer must access the summit meadow by some other route we left to N following track down to NW. Instead of passing through Berrow Farm we turned left (SW) by shipping container and sign saying No Horses (an inviting sign to pedestrians). Followed decent tracks past spring and lots of clay pigeon equipment. Hoped for anti-clockwise circuit of hill but faced deep wooded cloughs running into river. Disappointed to discover we were close to river. Partially reascended through wood crossing fences before exiting on track. Not a good route. Advice to those that follow would be to try for permission at Berrow Farm and ascend from N.Ashley09/07/2018
HP is at the north end of the grassy ridge- trig is on the south end. Fallen Beacon holder on top. Nice views to Clent and Malverns. Approached from SW through sheep pasture and some bramble filled woodland.Denise 21/03/2018
Park on grass verge of lane to S then NE up hedge line into woods on SW slope. Pheasants, shooting perch and a few old brambles before emerging close to trig point in summit pasture. Along edge of pasture to summit knoll with fallen fire basket / beacon. Extensive if a little hazy views.RichardM21/03/2018
Beware the wood to the south in summer - horrible vegetationcarole engel28/07/2017
Parked by Admiral Rodney pub. Track leads to wood and summit. Beacon post is snapped and looks particularly sad.Ramblingpaul29/05/2017
Followed route from south through two gates. New trees planted after second gate, so ground fairly okay albeit steep. Last bit has not been planted, so a minor tussle with brambles: keep going directly uphill to find an old stile over the fence. Trig point is then not far away.PGCE24/03/2017
Took the route from the south and found it fairly awful. The path through the bracken had only been cut part way and then it was a steep slog through bracken and brambles. Looks like no one on this site had been that way since April so guess it had grown up somewhat. Came out by trig and then on to the fallen beacon which seems to have been rotten at its bottom. Took same route back and lost my way weaving through the trees and vegetation so came out further west along the road.Herbert Anchovy16/09/2016
From South via 2 gates and followed trodden route coming out near trig. View from HP at fallen beacon excellent to North, East and South on a clear day. Came back through gate near trig but not used much.PeterD17/04/2016
Park on minor road immediately to south of trig opposite a gate. Gate into woods lies NNW across field. Follow rough path up through woods which almost at top turns right and then left to a metal gate to field with trig and top. Beacon has fallen down.simon and co28/01/2016
Route as RHW, jonglew, etc but had to thrash though bracken and nettles to locate top gate at SO74374 58357 (would have been better a month ago no doubt). Superb views N, E and S from beacon - I'm sure it's a hill that would be popular if there was ROW access.milimana06/06/2015
1/8 First one of day steep climb up through field and forest to trig pillar and beacon.Fergalh15/12/2014
Route as jonglew - the route up through the wood had recently been cleared so it was an easy, if steep ascent.Chris Peart13/08/2014
No public access; trespass the only option to bag this hill and trig. Parked on roadside opposite a field gate (SO 74330 58055) on minor road. Walked NW to a gate in opposite side of field, then NE along a wide track cut into the fern that hasn't been maintained for a couple of years. Finally broke out into summit clearing close to the trig. Pleasant 250m walk across to the fire basket/beacon for the true summit. Limited views from trig but much better from beacon.jonglew23/10/2013
A tough approach from both the north and the south that involves some trespassing. Managed to find some routes a metre wide in the trees/bracken/brambles to the south of the summit where greenery had been cut at ground level which made the decent easier.JohnStoneham26/08/2012
Walked north from the pub then made may through tracks or gaps in woodland to gain summit field. Beacon bagged first then headed south to next knoll to bag trig.Dugswell216/09/2011
Parked at pub. Told off twice for trespass. Took ROW to Berrow Farm then track NW then W thenup through the fields.chrisbien17/07/2011
Also parked at the pub, walked up the road to the north for about 30 meters and then up through the field mainly planted with young trees. This route will get tricky as the trees get bigger. Maybe going south from pub and up field is easier?Father Ted23/02/2011
Parked at Admiral Rodney pub. Follow tracks rather than struggling through young plantations.destaylor04/01/2011
Snuck through a field of cattle and luckily found a gate that had a path going up to the trig point through very high vegetation.Martin R26/06/2010

Parked at pub walked a short distance along the lane (northly)and made way up using the gallops left around the edge of the recently planted woodland. good views off top.heavyhorses13/10/2009
Trig point but beacon is at high point. Parked at Admiral Rodney pub.clivevilla19/06/2008
