7am. 18 degrees (25 by midday), cloudless. Via Winchcombe Way to SE with Bag For Life. Lovely being out early, golden sunshine, wood pigeons cooing and still a comfortable temperature. More wooded round here than I expected and though it pains me to say it, these Cotswolds have more hills that involve a bit of a climb on foot than most of the Chilterns and have a slightly wilder feel.Wycombe Wanderer17/07/2021

On the final section of the Gloucestershire Way, from Winchcombe to Tewkesbury. I've been up here before, but not to the summit. Rather than brave the barbed wire, I decided on a steep approachup through the woods from the north. Apart from being very steep, this was a straightforward enough route. Once up on the edge, a clear path leads to the summit, although it took me a while to find the trig which was hidden by various bits of hedge and shrub. Views are consequently limited, but glad to have made it up here. Returned the same way, into the appalling mud slalom that channels the GW down to the Stanleys.thesweetcheat29/05/2021
From Gretton S along Winchcombe Way. At confluence of paths E of the trig take a farm track that skirts the other side of the ridge. Not far along an unlocked field gate on the right gives unfettered access to this bag. I must admit I was rather focussed on not being observed, and can’t now remember if this track even shows on the map, or is in fact the one to Langley Hill Farm. Great views. Part of circuit including Dixton Hill and Oxenton Hill then first thirst quencing post lock-down pint at Gardeners, Alderton.Pete West13/04/2021

The good parking spot to NE opposite RoW at SP 0180 3035 was not available due to roadworks; roadside parking nearby - SW up track to T-junction, turned left & a short walk up track to farm gate at SP 0098 2903 - Through gate & up over lush pasture to summit by trig point. (S)gerrybowes31/03/2021

Byway used by horses so quite muddy in places. But an easy way up.jenx02/01/2019
With Kate, Ollie, Jill, Stuart, Sue and Alice from Winchcombe along the Gloucestershire Way. Mindful of the GOML warnings evidenced by the barbed wire and chained and padlocked gates this was a summit claimed under the proximity rule. The two deer sighted near the top had no regard for the security measures.Newton Maximus22/12/2018
From Winchcombe on path past Enfield Farm. Avoiding cows with calves (and Bull I noticed on way down) Found trig hiding between clumps of brambles.KC08/06/2018

Parked on edge of lane to Langley Hill Farm and returned after 30 minutes to have a GOML encounter. Bit unnecessary really, but hey, that's some farmers' wives for you.PGCE03/11/2017

From Gretton; up on fp through woodland strip on little ridge, down on lane which has the Hell of the N Cotswolds event. Kept to field above this lane, then used bridleway where the mud was indeed hell- escaped into grassy bowl and joined fps below paddocks. Note the summit area is (now?) fenced, not open as shown on the map link, but there are plenty of gatespwheeler13/03/2017
