672728/03/2015SY 54728 94224  F: Field hedge
O: OS had an 'old trig' close to highest point of hedge SY 54728 94224 approx. However the rather level field at c. SY 54766 94147 could be as high or higher.

O: Standard concrete column to mark the trig point which is situated 10m from the roadside in a field. A hop over a barb-wire fence needed to get up close & personal!

Parked in the layby at the road junction close to the trig point. Walked to Trig which as being used as a scratching post by some young cows. Then off to explore the more picturesque iron age fort being heading driving off to BroadwindsorBuck03/08/2019

Visited hill fort and walked along road to trig.Skerryvore26/07/2014
Quick diversion from the A35 on way home from site visit. Managed to access the field and park by some sort of water holding facility. The highest point seemed to be somewhere within an arable field and it was certainly higher than the trig point.Herbert Anchovy02/01/2014
With Alf. The gate to the field on which the top has been relocated was open. Walked over it but the trig looks a bit higher. Visted the nearby hill fort wonderful spot.mick27/08/2013
With Anna, walked up from Powerstock. The recent relocation has placed the top in the middle of field full of tall grass protected by barbed wire! A pointless exercise, I suspect. At least the trig can be reached from a footpath without requiring gymnastics!citygent08/06/2013

Take the dogs here alot, but never realized it was on this site! Digging through various photos to get a date, it was particularly hot and sunny, just before the fine weather broke and the floods of 2012 began. Some fine views down to the coast from here on a clear day.derlan28/03/2012
