The final day of a four day county top trip to do Norfolk before driving 250 miles back home. Definitely, the best of the five county tops during those five days with my cousin. Made a few mess ups navigating that morning but eventually, got to the summit by the flag pole and all those little grassy mounds on top. | DavidHiner | 22/03/2022 |
First county top for ages when working in Norfolk - very simple form car park opposite caravan park | Mark Sims | 11/01/2022 |
Ascended from the pleasant West Runton Station. I was pleased to find that it is actually a fairly steep walk along Sandy Lane. Not a bad walk, although there is no pavement. The top is actually quite well-marked for its size, with its own flagpole. Walked back down to West Runton via a trail which starts to the west of the summit. | hillbagger91 | 11/01/2022 |
We are in Norfolk for a funeral and took this opportunity to tick off the highest point in Norfolk, Parked at the camp. 50p machine out of order. | RowanP | 20/10/2021 |

After Harpley hill and Beeston bump, i drove up to park in the car park close to the caravanning club. My daughter stayed in the car. 4 mins later i was at the top visiting the flagpole and then visiting the mounds nearby. Onwards to my last Norfolk tump; a Beacon to Beacon completion. | Dazingdale | 01/05/2021 |
From car park, estate theoretically closed not sure why but a lot of trees down. Lots of locals walking anyway. | pog100 | 14/10/2020 |
I parked at the Seaview car park and walked up Sandy Lane. I was then met by a sign which said 'The estate is closed due to severe weather, please do not go beyond this point.' So to stay out of sight I made my way through the woods, making many twists and turns to get round the abundant holly and many fallen trees. It was a relief to find the flagpole, where I enjoyed the sea view before making my way down the northern path. | edmundjohnson | 13/10/2020 |
SOLO. Overnighted in Sheringham and set off on a quest to bag some of the hills in Jonny Muir's book. This was number 1. Walked the few metres from the car park before heading for breakfast and some more historic county tops. | Buck | 08/08/2020 |
Circular walk from Sheringham to Beacon Hill, East Runton and along beach to Beeston Bump. | welshyboyo | 13/06/2020 |

Roman camp with various mounds, ditches and a flag pole. I thought the most natural high point was grass 25m SSW of the flag pole. A cold lunch despite the sunshine on the bench with views N to coastline and sea. | RichardM | 09/12/2017 |

With JF. My last English and Welsh historic county top (excluding Hampstead Heath, I did Westerham Heights instead), six years after my previous English county top, hadn't had an excuse to visit Norfolk in all that time. Anyway, a very anti-climactic five minute walk and tramp around the hill fort remains and a quick view over to the sea. | Owen B | 28/10/2017 |
