As Beeliner, parked on Farnham Lane (the old road) to the front of house No. 101 & N. across the wide grassy area to junction with Crown Lane. | gerrybowes | 19/06/2023 |
Cycled from the west on a windy morning. It's a road junction... | cjwilliams | 25/03/2023 |
Easy parking on Farnham Lane right opposite Crown Lane. Walked around on the grass then got back in the car. Mountaineering at its best! Solo. | Dangerous Dave | 09/02/2022 |
Lockdown day trip, first of the day and a drive up.
Parked on Farnham Lane opposite Crown Lane and got out of car to cross grass and high point on opposite road junction.
Now on to Ashley Hill. | mntainman | 05/07/2020 |

On way home from working on a Macmillan Mighty Hike on the Thames Path. | Wheelsy | 20/07/2019 |
On own. Simple! Parked on Farnham Lane (old road outside house no.101) onto grass verge with Crown Lane straight ahead. Lone conifer tree marks 'high' spot. | Beeliner | 22/03/2019 |
1/4. Drive from Hertfordshire to Dorset on a very wet day: all 4 were easy bags with a minimal amount of time spent out of the car! East Burnham Park, Bassett Avenue, Ringwood Road, Corfe Hills. | PGCE | 08/02/2019 |
Quiet drive down the M1 and round the M25. Most unusual. Does Slough get any better than the hp? Probably not. | Campbell Singer | 16/11/2017 |
Parked nearby, short walk to junction and surroundings.
On way back from meeting. | PeterD | 06/06/2017 |

A quick detour after Shrubs Hill and Fultness Wood Hill on a quiet Thursday afternoon. | Dugswell2 | 03/11/2016 |
Another one solely for the bagger. | clivevilla | 26/08/2016 |
This is hardly worth getting out of the car. Junction of two roads. Solo. | bolton | 24/05/2016 |
Parked opposite and took short walk after dodging shower. | Ramblingpaul | 25/04/2016 |
A slight detour on the way to Wexham Park Hospital from Slough station. A generally pleasant walk except for the parts of Park Road with no footpath. The top is a bit underwhelming but they can't all be spectacular. | Sixtyplus | 04/03/2016 |
Parked next to it and stood on the highest bit of grass | r.ashwell | 21/02/2016 |
Bike from Burnham Station. Farnham Lane is an unpleasant bike ride due to it being a busy narrow road. Returned through Slough Trading Estate which is not picturesque but does feel safer for cycling. Top is at junction with Crown Lane | trimarc2 | 01/12/2015 |
4/8 Fourth one on Bad weather day so county tops bagging for the day, (Park Lane/Ashley Hill/Bowsey Hill/East Burnham Park/Pavis Wood/Whitehill/Bow Brickhill/The Slipe) | Fergalh | 24/10/2015 |
Circumnavigated telegraph pole. | ngthack | 25/08/2015 |
Driveby. Too embarrassed to get out of car ;-) | RHW | 28/06/2015 |
Further west from this grassy wide verge of the Slough Unitary Authority Top is Burnham where Mike Ashley grew up. He is the UK billionaire (15th richest person in Britain) who never gives interviews -Britain's answer to the late Howard Hughes. He is the owner of Sports Direct(which owns the likes of the Karrimor brand) and he owns Newcastle United (watches from the terraces along with the fans). Apparently his parents still live in a modest bungalow in Burnham, although he is believed to live in Hertfordshire. | Chris Pearson | 14/06/2015 |
Short walk from village hall. No reason to visit other than to tick it. | rhalstead | 28/02/2015 |
Short diversion off M4 en-route to West London to bag this underwhelming CoU. No saying exactly where HP is located. Wandered around the area briefly. | jonglew | 06/12/2014 |
Drive by at road junction. 14.50. | arranc | 16/11/2014 |
Took a break from the M4 jam. | squeegs | 17/08/2014 |
Dog poo bin still there. | Newton Maximus | 05/05/2014 |
took a selfie by the poo bin! | mcallmar | 16/03/2014 |
Did as a drive by after visiting family. | steverd | 16/06/2013 |
\"Bagged\" the poo-bin and the telegraph pole just in case. Didn\'t stay long as better things to do. Top is actually quite a nice area for Slough. At least the parking was easy. | Hillsidenick | 28/04/2013 |
Rather dismal third gear bag | simon and co | 03/12/2012 |
On way back to hotel from a county top running sesh. Drove this one, parked at lane junction (risky) and dained to get out briefly, seems a high spot although limited reference points. | nordicstar | 24/10/2012 |
Parked outside houses, jumped out and walked to dog poo bin and telegraph pole, took photo, returned to car. It was raining. Nice. | Biffin | 09/04/2012 |
Visited the telegraph pole and dog bin, also visited the high point of Long Readings Lane near junction with Upper Lees Road which looks equally as high to me. | garyhoney | 16/07/2011 |
On my way to do field work at Gerrard's Cross. I think the council put the dog poo bin in the wrong place and it's the telegraph pole that's at the highest point. Pity, a dog poo bin would have been just the summit that Slough deserves. | Herbert Anchovy | 05/05/2011 |
A DAMP DAY ON THE WAY TO THE CHILTERN KANTER. NIPPED OUT OF THE CAR AND WANDERED ROUND THE TELEGRAPH POLE AND DOG POO BIN OPPOSITE THE ROAD JUNCTION. | BURGESS | 26/02/2011 |
Did what Nick did and parked outside the houses before nipping across verge and exploring the t junction in detail. | Father Ted | 15/01/2011 |
Delightful views to be had of Slough power station from this one... | Richard | 27/11/2010 |
Pulled up outside houses, walked across the grass verge and road to the junction to be sure. Took 2 minutes (hot day!) and then I was off to the next one! | Nick | 23/05/2010 |
One of the more pointless tops. Parked at Burnham Beaches. | Overthehilljill | 21/03/2010 |
drive by and jump out after makaton training course | mr bounce | 18/01/2010 |
1st of the day, not very exciting but at least no
effort required. | asbown | 13/07/2009 |
Probably the middle of the road - busy at rush hour. | destaylor | 02/03/2009 |
High point on Farnham Lane next to telegraph pole | Fat Bloke | 15/02/2009 |
Stood by the telegraph pole opposite Crown Lane.Dog poo bin has been nicked.Nice verge. | electricratman | 08/04/2007 |
The highest spot seems to be the grassy verge outside the house "Rugged Elms" but, if the boundary runs down the middle of the road, it ain't Slough! | signyred | 23/08/2006 |
By the dog poo bin, we reckoned - not the most inspiring of tops! | wheresthepath | 29/09/2004 |
On Farnham Lane opposite jct with Crown Lane, on boundary | webmaster | 11/11/2003 |
