15 of 17. From High Barnet station on the Northern line and then used the 107 bus. There’s no access to the summit so had to make do with the closest ROW that runs by the farm. (Every access point or track is heavily covered by CCTV).WAYNE ROWLETT23/07/2023
Detour from London LOOP. Visited highest publicly accessible area, but people wondering round the farm dissuaded me from going furtherlerritt07/08/2022

Re-visit for new summit.andrew brown16/12/2020
Done on a 61 km cycle from Battersea, lovely sunny day again. Got as close as everyone else managed, doesn’t look like the sort of place that welcomes baggers...Rockdoctor13/06/2020
The fourth and last L Borough Top of the day. The four highest Tops remain. A couple of days rest then Sutton on Friday, Harrow on Saturday and then a very long day on Sunday to finish with Croydon and Bromley. Got as close as possible, all entrances, gates and paths closed and blocked - what have they got to hide?pclyndes31/05/2020
Lockdown bike ride from home in Oakwood. This time managed to get to the actual summit by climbing over the gate from the east mentioned in other logs. Ran into a groundskeeper on the way down - my third time being caught trespassing over the years. Greater London Tumps (re-)completed.Mark Jackson25/04/2020
Penultimate top of the day. Beautiful afternoon light so had to walk past farm along the lane, squeezing into a walled paddock then across a track to follow line of electric taped fences, squeezing under the summit paddock (shocking!) High point overlooks farm but no responses today thankfully. Continued by profiling around via two more fences to get back onto fp heading for my last Herts top in Shenley...Dazingdale19/01/2020
Got as close as felt comfortable. Signs and cameras everywhere. Horses & Private:Keep out signs go together etc wherever! Also it really isn't that important, to me at least. A boring top.Sixtyplus30/08/2019
A July evening with good light at 10 pm. Bus to Brickfield Lane, S along Hendon Wood Lane, over the hay bale gate, up the sloping pasture and over a fence to the summit in the paddock. Walked on to Arkley.Nick Down109/07/2019
A dusk raid, over the gate and bales.PGCE13/04/2019
Walked around the road perimeter. Didn't even try to seek access after seeing previous comments. Close enough for me - the thrill is in the journey! :-)jedthehumanoid06/02/2019
Did not get over the bales by the blocked gate.arranc28/06/2018
From Hendon Wood Lane, over gate and large straw bales. Not spotted. Horses not in summit paddock. Stable staff probably at lunch.Campbell Singer29/03/2018
As close as you can get. All looks pretty much same night and according to the map Arkley to the north is higher anyway.Swindon Bagger24/03/2018

As close/high as you can get with J while on the London LOOP. Approx date.NotReallyABagger30/06/2015
Pleased to properly get to this one. In the dark over fence from east into grassy field and up to paddock summit. Kept torch off.Chris Pearson24/04/2015
Parked on Nan Clark's Lane and walked up the stables driveway to the first duck pond. That looked to be highest without trespassing or getting strange looks from horseriders.Nick18/01/2015
As per 1:25k, paddock summit, from ENE, first light, all quiet.RHW14/12/2014
Bike ride from home in Oakwood: Bournwell Hill - Mote End Farm (only got as far as the end of the driveway to the SSE) - Deacons Hill. Then got a puncture in Elstree and had to walk back. What a waste!Mark Jackson01/11/2014
To farm gate with Catriensqueegs17/11/2013
Walked along lane to farm. Seems that the highest is in a field on the farm, not the farm gates as shown in the current summit photo. 1:25k OS map seems to bear that out. No chance of a trespass as the fences too high and security cameras everywhere, so got as close as could on RoWs.Hillsidenick21/07/2013
Visited With Darren while trying to visit all the high points on London in one day.magirob10/01/2013
'Bagged' this, erm, hill as part of 5 north London borough tops whilst on my way to the 2012 Xmas party. More accurately, got out of car at assumed highest point and then drove off again.RichieRambler06/12/2012
En route to Weybridge after work, after Hadley Wood and Arkley drove onto Mote End. Up Lane to stables under cover of dark now, agree track back up the lane looks higher than nr farm. 1:25k bears this out...?nordicstar23/10/2012
Bit tricky as lots of private around. Did a quick about turn and jumped out of car. Moot point were top is. The gate pictured looks a bit lower than up the lane.simon and co08/10/2012
Early dawn raid via back route from disused gate on Hendon Wood Lane TQ 22160 94241DC11main27/11/2011
We were walking and geocaching around the area. nice area, but not much to see.CandS3703/09/2011
Biked from home (Kew) via Bornwell Hill and Arkley. 4 hours return trip. Biked to the houses of the nicely situated farm.NilsOS19/08/2010
Yet another Borough top we just missed on the LOOP trail. Parked at New Road (off Hendon Wood Lane) and walked across via muddy paths - stables was closest we could get too.wheresthepath21/02/2010
Ate my picnic on a bench near the farm which is about as close as you can get unless you own a horse.Overthehilljill19/10/2009
The gates to the stables were open when I passed by - didn't go in but it didn't look to be significantly higher than the path.Richard19/09/2009
A very security conscious looking stable deters closer investigation. Pleasant footpath route to/from Arkley.Smudge02/03/2008
Closest could get was 153m. Its a stables.destaylor26/02/2008
