From Derrydaroch up the hydro track. On to An Caisteal. | sclater | 08/01/2024 |
Parked in the large layby on A82 to the N. Followed the River Falloch track and picked up the path by the first gate up onto the ridge to Sron Gharbh, Twistin Hill, An Caisteal and Beinn a Chroin W, main & E Tops. Descent via path on N ridge to the W of the river to initial track. Another hot sunny day and a relaxing walk with Gillian and Denise. | richard69 | 31/05/2023 |
From a82 layby and followed track up River Falloch. Foolishly decided another path might be further up than the one by the gate. Ended up climbing off piste from near the sheepfold. Once on the ridge and at the summit things got a lot easier. | stig_nest | 29/08/2022 |
From layby on way up An Caisteal with Sharon. | colinfielding | 30/07/2022 |
Family hike of Beinn a' Chroin and An Caisteal. Nice day out. One short sketchy bit of scrambling for having a child backpack coming off Beinn a' Chroin, maybe why most do the loop the other way. | Tisteln | 09/07/2022 |
Family hike of Beinn a' Chroin and An Caisteal. | Dibber | 09/07/2022 |
Parked in lay-by at Derrydaroch and then followed hydro track (not on my map) to the dam at approx NN364214. Made a circuit of Stob Glas, An Caisteal and down Twistin Hill to the two sub Simms followed by a return to the dam and back down the track. | BaggerGutt | 23/06/2022 |
Anti-clockwise circuit of An Caisteal & Beinn a' Chroin from layby on A82 | geoffh12 | 18/04/2022 |
Wintery walk around the 5 munros with all of the tops that were in the way. From the car park south of Crianlarich on the A82. Stunning day with lots of snow and sunshine. 26 km in 10 hrs taking in Sron Garbh, Twistin Hill, An Caisteal, Ben Chabhair, Beinn a'Chroin west top, Beinn a'Chroin, Beinn a'Chroin East Top, Meall Dhamh. | Nicky C | 05/12/2021 |

An Caisteal and Beinn A'Chroin with Amy. A longer, harder day than expected, | killiedaft | 29/08/2020 |
From Glen Falloch up Sron Gharbh then Twistin Hill on to An Caisteal summit. After a break and amazing views it was down to Beinn a' Chroin and the tasty scramble up to the west top, then summit, then east top for a longer break and more photos. Back down Beinn a' Chroin's north ridge into Coire Earb for a boggy return to the track then car park. Two brilliant Munros with superb views of big hills all around! | Chris Mac | 06/07/2019 |
1/6 Sron Gharb, Twistin Hill, An Caisteal, Beinn a Chroin West Top, Beinn a Chroin and Beinn a Chroin East Top. Perfect Munro bagging day on the way home from Harris. Nice to walk on a path, if a bit squidgy in the valley home. | nickywood1 | 22/06/2019 |
From lay-by on A82, southwest of Crianlarich (NN 36852 23841). Under railway, followed surfaced track to 2nd gate then ascended Sron Gharbh; clear grassy path, occasionally boggy. Along the ridge past Twistin Hill to ascend An Caisteal. Steep descent to Bealach Buidhe followed by a steep ascent to the west top of Beinn a' Chroin involving a couple of awkward scrambles. Onwards to the Munro summit and east top before a straightforward descent down the north ridge to then follow the course of the River Falloch. Very boggy in parts before reaching the surfaced track. | david230201 | 03/05/2019 |

An Caisteal - Beinn a'Chroin - Beinn Tulaichean - Cruach Ardrain. Some views and mostly dry. A tough walk - particularly the down and up between Beinn a'Chroin and Beinn Tulaichean. | wozzat | 22/06/2017 |
17km route, from car park opposite Keilator Farm via track and then up onto An Caisteal ridge, dropped down to Coire a Chuilinn and then steep climb upto Beinn Chabhair, before dropping back into Coire a Chuilinn and joing the WHW back to the carpark. 3hr 30min route, walking and running were possible. | gandrew | 05/11/2016 |

Munro 186/7 Beinn a'Chroin real summit is my Munro discovery ! Early morn start in dark. An Caisteal north ridge first and Full Moonset behind Ben Lui. Visited both west ridge high points only 70m apart. I was instrumental in extracting info out of the OS eventually in letter in early July 1997 that there was a 'new' summit position replacing east top. | vegibagger | 30/12/2001 |
