Cycled from Linn of Dee to Derry Lodge. Then out and back to The Devil's Point.geoffh1225/09/2023
Car to Linn of Dee, bike to Derry Lodge. Walk to Corrour Bothy and then Stob Coire an t-Saighdeir, Sgor an Lochain Uaine, Cairn Toul and Devil's Point. Back the same way. Long day!tsharp08/07/2023

Braeriach - Cairn Toul traverse ... Day two - Beautiful sunny day ... Left our heavy packs on the col for a nice pack-free climb up to the Devils point, summited at about 10.30am to enjoy lovely views all around ... After a steep walk down and a quick visit to the Corrour bothy we walked out by the (seemingly never ending) Lairig Ghru, then through the (now wet) Chalamain Gap back to the sugar Bowl car park for about 9pm ... After leaving the Lairig Ghru the weather quickly deteriorated on the walk back to the car park into horizontal rain and high winds. (Proper Scottish weather! ... We had been spoiled for the past two days) ...Total time 35 hours ... Actual walking time, with rest stops (And there were plenty of those!) about 24 hours.R & K01/08/2022
From Sugarbowl Car Park...The Devil's Point, Stob Coire an t-Saighdeir, Cairn Toul, Sgor an Lochain Uaine, Carn na Criche, Braeriach and Sron na Lairige.JasonStark30/07/2022
Loop from sugarbowl carpark, out through lairig ghru and high level traverse back 38.5km in 10hrs 30.shocking weather and very tricky terrain at times. I'd reckomend staying in the bothy rather than doing it in a oner. Taking in the devil's point, stob coire an t-saighdeir, carn toul, sgor an lochain uaine, carn na criche, braeriachNicky C29/05/2022
Solo. From the Sugar Bowl via Chalamain's Gap. Braeriach (1296m), Sgor an Lochain Uaine (1258m), Cairn Toul (1291m) and the Devil's Point (1006m). Sunny, clear, warm, perfect weather.meltdiceburg23/07/2021
Cairn Toul - Braeriach traverse - Walkhighlands route for 4 munros, done in 1 dayhummusg18/07/2021
Solo traverse of the four munros west of the Lairig Ghru from the Sugarbow car park. Set off just before 5am from the Sugarbowl - Chalamain Gap to Lairig Ghru 3.5 hrs to the bothy, which was surrounded by tents. Was up on the summit of Devil's Point by 9:15am, at which point the high cloud cover started disappearing. Over to Stob Coire an t-Saighdeir and the bouldery Cairn Toul summit, then to Angel's Peak. Long walk round to Braeriach summit where there was a large herd of reindeer. Descent down from Braeriach back down to the Rothiemurchas path and then back through the Chalamain gap to return to Sugarbowl car park. 10h 13min total time.mproudfoot18/07/2021

Run from Linn of Dee, Devils Point, Cairn Toul, Sgor an Lochain Uaine, BraeriachHuwel20/08/2019
Epic day! Walked solo. From Linn of Dee to White Bridge and along Lairig Ghru path to Corrour Bothy. Steep climb up good path to Devil's Point. Great viewpoint. Returned to col and traversed at around 1000m contour around Cairn Toul and Angel's Peak to point 899m above Loch nan Struirteag. Hardest part of walk ... bogs and boulder runs (not recommended!). Over the massive Munro's Monadh Mor and Beinn Bhrotain to Munro Top Carn Cloich-Mhullinn. Generally easy walking over grassy and bouldery ridges, with occasional faint paths. Descend through heather, avoiding summit of Carn Fiaclach, to path on west side of Glen Dee at the Allt Iarnaidh. Long return to White Bridge (to cross) and Linn of Dee. Weather dry and clear most of day, but closed in after Beinn Bhrotain with a heavy shower and lowering mist. Total distance about 33km ... could be reduced by about 9km with a mountain bike to White Bridge! Took me nearly 12 hours ... due to late start I finished by torchlight!jamessteel10008/08/2019

Late ascent as only arrived at Corrour bothy late on Saturday afternoon, amber weather warning, -23 degrees wind chill and -11 on the tops. brutal.designrob17/03/2018
Overnight in Corrour bothy. Very crowded. Weather on the walk In from Derry Lodge Was a bit grim. Walk up the Munro is fairly straightforward but had to abandon plans for Carn Toul etc due to onset of stormy weather.Chris Terrey 01/07/2017
Solo. After Braeriach wild camp. neil hutton20/06/2017
From the Sugar Bowl car park climbed Braeriach over Stob na Laurige. I was convinced by a teacher I met part way that I should do the other Munros. So I went on to Carn na Criche, The Angels Peak, Cairn Toul, Stob Coire an t Saighdeir and The Devils Point. I then went down to Corrour and the long walk North on the Lairig Ghru and back through the Chalamain Gap. The weather was warm and sunny with cloud free skies I got burnt. Wildlife included Snow Bunting, Grey Wagtail, Red Grouse, Ptarmigan a Lizard near Corrour and a Roe Deer near the Wells of Dee. Walk distance about 23 miles in 11 hours 30 minutes. Tiring but great day. The plateaux is very special in the UK hills.isabelle31/05/2017

I cycled into Derry Lodge 0850; and then continued on foot, via the Luibeg bridge to Corrour bothy 1040, pause; up the excellent track up coire Odhar, snow across path at top and went off piste on steep wet grass about which I worried in terms of the descent; was begining to struggle uphill on Devil's Peak (1205)langskill24/05/2014

4th of 4. Dropped the pack and bagged the tick. Little time to spare as I was going to be up against it to get back out before dark. The route out along the Lairig Ghru path is pretty awful at times and a constant slog. 38.4km, 2260m, 13hr20.bowzi26/05/2013
