Walked up Gleann Ballach. Crossing river higher up to avoid wading. Then up to col between Carn Macoul and Carn Dearg south top. Foggy on top and boggy everywhere else! On way back from same col headed down west into Gleann Lochain. Frozen Loch Dubh had a beautiful blue tinge. deer, hares ptarmigan and grouse.gettingonabit11/04/2018
With Tom Oldham. Standard there and back route from Glen Banchor along Allt Fionndrigh. Our fourth sensational sunny dry day. 20k 5 hours.alexmaclennan09/05/2017
Accessed from Glen Banchor- cycled the first four kilometres- which was a mistake and caused more problems. Walked up to Loch Dubh- then up the ridge between the southern cairn at 923m and Carn Macoul- six hours all in.chillyman806/05/2017

2nd ascent , followed by Carn Dearg SE Top and onto Carn Macoul which though it doesn't have any status it gave fine views of my previous route and of the falls above Loch Dubh. As the weather was now at its best for the day I decided to return via the Graham Creag Liath.Peterb02/11/2016
Monadhliath ridge from Glen Banchory via Dalballoch to Carn Macoul, Carn Dearg, intermmediate summits to Carn Sgulain and A'Chailleach and down to Glen Banchorykdbennett02/10/2016

Started wet ++ but nicer later on. Climbed with Maggie and Roy (and initially Liz) as part of Trisha's last munro party. 30 - 35 walkers made it to the top I'd guess.dave neilson21/05/2016
Walked up Glen Banchor to Dalballoch (no problem crossing the river) then followed deer tracks on the western flank of Carn Macoul which kept us out of the wet valley bottom. From the col 639009 we enjoyed the fine scenery and weather to the summit perched on top of a cliff. Returned to the col but descended snow slopes east where we saw lots of mountain hares. A fine day out.mindlessflogger30/03/2016
UMHC Nethy 2015. climbed with Sergey, Andrew, Charles, Ceri, Blue, Tim, Becky & the Hoff. Boggy as hell, Sergey knackered his ankle.electricfox22/12/2015

From the car park and up the glen on a good track. A mild day, a bit cloudy. Was mistaken for a grouse and shot at while descending the lower slopes! Should have noticed the date...Play2End15/08/2014

blue sky, snow on the ground and ice on top, needed crampons for that. done with Stuart, Mark and alison and Lee.tallblond19/02/2012
