Epic day with Tom and Duncan. Initially missed the bridge across the river. Only a little wet snow to slow us down on the tops.alexmaclennan16/02/2024
Along the ridge from Carn Dearg. Lovely walking along ridge via various tops with great views. Initially very windy but lessened. Descended via A’Chailleach. With the WalkersDenise 06/10/2023
Parked at the end of the public road in Glen Banchor. Carn Dearg, Carn Ban, Carn Ballach SW Top, Carn Ballach NE Top, Meall a'Bhothain, Carn Sgulain W Top, Carn Sgulain, A'Chailleach, Geal Charn. Very wet underfoot and gale force winds initially on Carn Dearg (hat blown over the cliffs) but easing later with cloud lifting. With Gillian and Denise.richard6906/10/2023
Starting from the Glen Banchor car par and going up an estate track by east side of Allt a Chaorainn. Made way N up towards the corrie and then climbed Am Bodach from the SE. Follow around through intermittent peat hags to Carn Sgulain. SW to to Carn Sgulain W Top and then prescribe an arc to avoid the steepest slopes of Allt Cuil an Caillich. Follow at times boggy track down SSW from A Chailleach. Here comes the mistake - forded Allt a Chaorainn (in spate!!). Wet feet... didn't study map at 1:25000 which indicates a footbridge further south. Not shown on 1:50000. Lessons learned. To be fair the bridge is unseen in woodland, but on the way up, there is a small cairn by the track.DampandDusty27/08/2023
Ascent from Glenbanchor Car Park to A' Chailleach along Allt a'Chaorainn via Lurg. Descent to bealach (on Allt Cuil na Caillich) to Carn Sgulain. Follow fence posts to Am Bodach and descent to Geal Charn and down to path/trach that follows Allt na Beinne and return to car park.raymooremanx24/06/2023

This lived down to its reputation, pretty sure the nearer of the two cairns is higher to save anyone the bother of the second oneTrantham Clan22/05/2023

Dry, overcast, mild, wind strengthening fr W which kept insects away and was fine on long jog across moor - till I turned SSW on this summit into the wind!NorfolkPT2116/07/2022

Solo round of Càrn Dearg, Càrn Sgulain and A'Chailleach from parking spot in Glen Banchor. 7.15am start with headtorch. Circuit clockwise to get the long walk in out of the way, Quite a lot of bog encountered befoer the 250m pull up to the top of Càrn Dearg. Less bog up on the plateau, sometimes squelchy sections of peat, and sometimes frozen, with the occasional patch of icy snow to circumvent, so it was slow going at times. Dry weather, but bitterly cold wind up top. Long plod over the plateau before arriving at Carn Sgulain - there was a group of 3 ladies at the summit, so I said hello, but has no plans to stop at the top, so tapped the summit and headed over to A' Chailleach before the long descent. 7h 9min time.mproudfoot15/01/2022
