From Beinn Iaruinn, solo, to the bealach then steep climb to he summit. Descended south over easy ground and then east to be picked up by Anne B at the bridge at Achavady. Just over 5 hours from Brae Roy in glorious autumn conditions and dry underfoot. | bolton | 31/10/2023 |
From Glen Roy viewpoint (NN297853), straight up Beinn a' Mhonicag on obvious route from parking, then smaller tracks to summit, descended N to col at NN287864, then up grassy slopes to high col at NN287875, then NW up to summit of Lèana Mhòr, descended back to high col, then S/SSE to ATV track ca NN290866, E down track to public road, back to start (3h35m) | kdbennett | 29/04/2023 |

Solo from the Glen Roy road - parked further in from the passing place just up from the bridge at NN300880, followed faint and disappearing paths all around - firstly up Leana Mhor, keeping to the shoulder on the left of Coire ant-Seilich, up to pt 596, then nnw to the summit of the graham. Descended directly to the bealach at around 515m, before ascending up an atv track onto the shoulder of Beinn Iaruinn. Followed the rim of the coire around to the summit. Descended back down to the bealach and from there, the track back down to the bridge and the car. Light snow falling but no real snow underfoot. Total time: 2h 58min | mproudfoot | 03/03/2023 |
From Beinn a'Mhonicag. Steeply down N ridge, west of crags on grass and heather. Then up, slightly less steeply, on grassy slopes east of Allt na Ceardaich. Back down same way to track that leads east to road. | KeithByTheC | 24/07/2022 |
Verge parked NN 3005 8601 (just past bridge). Back over bridge, cross new fencing - head towards reeds - atv - at NN 29984 88031. cross stream where atv heads into bracken, so not obvious for first few meters (NN 29874 88040). Atv continues to col. feint in parts (via NN 29457 88057, NN 29364 88119). Sadly I knew nothing of this (couldn't find the path as mentioned in previous logs) and slogged directly up south side Allt a'Bhreac Achaidh which was hard going. | carole engel | 04/07/2022 |

TGOC 2018. Ascended all 3 west Glen Roy hills en route to Luib Chonnal bothy | alexmaclennan | 14/05/2018 |
An easy path leads from the Glen Roy viewpoint to the summit plateau of Beinn a' Mhonicag. Superb views. Leana Mhor is so close that it's impossible to do anything other than continue on down the NW ridge. This requires a bit of weaving around to dodge steep ground and a turn north near the bottom to hit the bealach. The climb to Leana Mhor is as easy as it looks, on smooth grass, and then lovely short heather towards the top. On return (easy) cut across the lower slopes of Beinn a' Mhonicag to avoid road bashing and take a peek at a parallel road. | Gill | 12/05/2018 |
Parked at Achavady near spot height 207 up Glen Roy, 2km past the parallel roads view point. Followed the hill track west to spot height 345 then headed due north uphill to take in the Marilyn Leana Mhor at 684m. This was to make more of a walk of the day. On top the wind was cold and strong with large patches of frozen snow. Carried on to take in the trig on Coire Ceirsle Hill, to the SW. | BigJ | 18/03/2018 |

From car park at NN 297 853 up very steep slopes to Leana Mhor and then onto Beinn Iauruinn. Mist and then torrential rain. Other than the parallel roads, not the most memorable of hills. | benalder284 | 22/06/2015 |

Solo in a whiteout also the Corbett Beinn Iaruinn | Nozzer | 09/11/2013 |
Solo. From end of public road in Glen Gloy. Road up Glen Gloy is very narrow with passing places, some a long way apart. Walked up track up Glen Fintaig to the end of the track. Here crossed burn and climbed up hillside SE. Came to new fence, not shown on OS 1:25,000 map, coming from col between Meall Breac and Lèana Mhòr. Climbed over fence to continue to summit of Lèana Mhòr. Now very misty. Headed SW and came across fence again. Thought fence might follow border of forestry land marked on map, but it did not and went across the NW slopes of Coire Ceirsle Hill. Reached the trig point at summit of Coire Ceirsle Hill and the nearby highest point. Now out of mist with excellent views. Went N to bridge over burn in Glen Gloy - can squeeze through a high fence there. | pwbellarby | 18/07/2013 |

From Glen Roy with Shaky on a sunny day. Over Beinn a'Mhonicag from the E first up steep slopes & then continued switchbacking over Leana Mhor up its steep S slopes & then down & up again to Beinn Iaruinn. Back to the final col before dropping E following the Allt a'Bhreac Achaidh to the bridge & then walking back down the glen. Good walk in a peaceful glen. | NotReallyABagger | 01/06/2007 |
