Climbed solo. Started at Malagan Bridge (Glen Shiel). Stalkers path via Bealach na Craoibhe to foot of Forcan Ridge. Ascending the ridge to climb numerous summits (Sgurr nan Forcan, The Saddle E top, The Saddle, The Saddle trig point, The Saddle W top, Spidean Dhomhuill Bhric, Sgurr Leac nan Each). Descended north along ridge towards Sgurr a' Gharg Gharaidh before dropping east down a steep grassy gully into Gleann Undalain. Picked up path (faint at first) heading down glen to Shiel Bridge before heading down road to Ratagan hostel. Return on bike to Malagan Bridge to collect car. Weather dry, warm, mostly sunny, with some mist lower in the valleys, particularly in late afternoon (a partial cloud inversion). Superb climbing on a spectacular and rugged mountain. Scrambling on Forcan Ridge is exposed but not difficult, though wouldn't be pleasant in wind or rain. Views to Ben Nevis, Skye, Torridon. Time ~ 8 hours.jamessteel10018/08/2016

Round of Sgurr na Sgine & the Saddle from the A87 on a clear day with Shaky. Straight up the whelk (Faochag) which had the merit of gaining height quickly. Followed ridge to Sgurr na Sgine & then across to the Saddle, exploring some of the tops. Worked back to Bealach Coire Mhalagain & dropped directly back to the road.NotReallyABagger04/09/1998

Alone again up the Forcan ridge but this time set off to pick up the outlying tops. I wasn't right and threw up before having a snooze on the furthest top. Missed out Sgurr na Sgine on the back of this. SS27/05/1990

With two friends. From Suardalan Bothy (first rate) along a track through forest on the west side of Bealach a’ Chasain (forest now extends further S than track end), then across the valley to a minor top just to N of Sgurr Leac nan Each. On to Sgurr Leac nan Each, Spidean Dhomhuill Bhric, the W top of the Saddle, the trig point, the main top, East top, Sgurr nan Forcan, NW top of Sgurr na Sgine, main top. Went back to Bealach Coire Mhàlagain. We aimed to cross over to Coire Caol, but went too far east (very misty) so went down to the road and walked along the road to Shiel Bridge (no lifts!). From Ratagan west up by edge of forest and N of Sgurr Mhic Bharraich to reach the bothy at 23:30! Rain and very misty.pwbellarby31/05/1986
