A weather window gave an afternoon opportunity to climb this. Sunshine, clear skies but windy with high cloud. With E from car park at Inveruglas visitor centre as far as path up from track to Loch Sloy then solo. E returned to sunbathe (!) at top of pyramid-shaped An Ceann Mòr visitor centre back at Inveruglas visitor centre while I tackled steep but well improved path up into coire of Lag Dubh. Then up to rocky ridge on the western flank and broader ridge path to trig point and cairn. Another cairn about 200 metres further along atop a small crag is the true summit. 360 views superb and had the place to myself. Return same route.Beeliner04/09/2019
Somewhat unorthodox ascent via Small hills and south top. Was delighted to pick up well worn path to the top.Oh no I forgot...27/08/2019
Debs & Tali. From Ardlui. Parked opposite station underpass although sign in hotel says you can park in the compound/yard across the road. Route as per Pocket Mountains, Southern Highlands. Last bit of the descent fiddly.Mountain Goat23/06/2019
Third ascent via the Little Hills and Vorlich N Top with the Munro Society for the David Batty Memorial walk.NormanW22/06/2019
From Ardlui via Ben Vorlich North Top and returning over the Little Hills ridge. Dry day with strong wind on summit.knarf11/06/2019
Climbed from Inveruglas Vistor Centre, 5:10hrs blue skies all day.chillyman811/05/2019
Walked up from Inveruglas towards the reservoir . Pretty steep but rewarding views on the way up and at top . 1 other walker beat me by about 20 minutes. Little bits of snow still up there ..D SID11/04/2019
Ben Vane & Ben Vorlich. Ben Vorlich 2nd of the 2 for the day. Stayed at Ardpeaton. Cloud was at 900m very cold wind -10 wind chill. Inverugles visitors centres car park on Loch Lomond. Ran hills. Ice & heavy frost on top of Vane Ben though Vorlich colder than Vane due to the wind. Use Tailwind all day. jps66629/11/2018
Standard route out and back from Inveruglas via Loch Sloy up Lag Dubh. A lovely day with one snow shower and a light dusting of snow and fierce wind at the summit. Did the north top then returned the same way. An outstanding viewpoint and now one of my favourite mountains.Chris Mac26/10/2018
SOLO. Up from Inveruglas via the Loch Sloy dam road. The weather started and ended well but rain and low cloud were the dominant. Path was steep as described but easy to follow and a few other walkers out on the hill.Buck27/08/2018
Decended Ben Vane by making our own route down heading towards the Dam. Crossed over the loch Sloy dam to ascend a vertical hard climb which had the legs screaming all the way up Ben Vorlich! No route to follow just make your own line up. amazing views.Zoe Little05/08/2018
Seven mile county top walk from Ardlui taking around five hours, the hotel is willing to let hillwalkers park in there second carpark on the other side of road but not in the main carpark. There also then handy for a post drink. The route was gentle for a top over 3000ft much better than the slog Ive seen on YouTube going up from Loch Sloy.WAYNE ROWLETT24/07/2018

A circuit of BV's tops from Ardlui: Stob nan Coinnich Bhacain via the steepish grassy gully on the south - BV North Top - BV - BV South Top - an improvised traverse, helped by a deer track half the way to West Little Hill - East Little Hill - a descent ending in sustained wading through waist high grasses and bracken above Stuckendroin.Nick Down109/09/2017

From Inveruglas. The path up the mountain leaves the road 1KM before the dam just after the point where the electricity line and road meet. Steep climb sadly just the top in mist. With Dorothy, Nat and Jordan.callumorr31/07/2016

Asended in snow from Inveruglas. Difficult navigation with snow covering path and cloud coming and going. Fortunate to get views from top.quadbarrel27/12/2015
With GHC from Inveruglas. Icy path to summit, clear and sunny views. Troublesome descent over southern top back to access road.Play2End15/03/2015
First time on this top, second time on ben vorlich, 3 in party, approx 12km round from the cp, wet snow, deep in places then a freeze with snow, hail and 25 mins crouched on the ground in a strong squall. loch sloy access road, south top, ridge, trig point, true summit and back the same way.rum doodle 26/02/2015

Early start on my own from my parents, beautiful conditions with lots of good walking snow at the top. lots of fun.GravelMonkey29/12/2013
Short solo break in Ardlui. 4.30pm drop off so flew up Ben Vorlich taking in Stob nan C. Bhacain and Little Hills in 4hrs. Path not distinct all the way up (blunder up from dam). There are problems getting off the NE end of Stuc na Nughinn. Interesting Munro though.Mark Jackson17/07/2013
Solo ascent with Jennie, Holly and Abbie. From Inveruglas via Loch Sloy tourist path. Fresh wind. A little low cloud but quite sunny on top. Almost no snow now. 4 1/2 hours but would have been 4 if I had found the path from the outset.alexmaclennan20/04/2013

A late start at 1pm and an overnight nearby. Boggy and wet from Ardlui with no obvious path for the first hour - partly due to the bracken cover. Missed the path at the col on the way back. Back just 30 mins before darkness - a tired EJSRoblex04/09/2011
Climbed from Inveruglas via Loch Sloy. Gorgeous early morning with mist over Loch Lomond. Summit marked by large cairn to the North of the Trig Point.isabelle01/09/2011
From Ardlui and approached summit from the north. Good views down the Firth of Clyde to Ailsa Craig.Windy Corner23/07/2011
With three others, late evening ascent from Inveruglas carpark, onto quarry road and straight up into coire nan each, did some bouldering then up to the west ridge and followed path to summit. Came down tourist route which was heavily eroded, and steep!Loz_mck28/06/2011
Estimated date but was a rather blustery day in mid-May. This is the Loch Lomond Ben Vorlich. Great views despite the breeze. Just about got blown away on the way down, though.bobblehat_kenny15/05/2011
