Biod an Fhithich/Saddle horseshoe from Shiel Bridge campsitedaviemore28/05/2023
From the layby eastward at 968144. A path takes you off the road immediately and then to the main path which enables a fast climb to the col. Cloudy but clear on the tops. With Gill R and CM. 4 hours taking it easy.bolton26/05/2023
By path from The Saddle layby just W of Malagan Bridge en-route back to Inverness to watch the rugby. Great hill views, great game just a shame about the resultSpudGunn26/02/2023
Stayed at the Kintail Outdoor Centre on an OMC Meet. Set off with James Priestly, parked on the A87 and followed the obvious path for the Saddle then turned right to get Biod an Fhithich. Great views west to Dornie and of the five sisters. Returned to the Saddle path and ascended the Forcan Ridge, the ridge was very draining, the rock was was wet and slimey had to stay focused the entire time. Got to Sgurr Na Forcan and dropped down toward the 10m 'step', the sight of this and the remaining bumps toward the Saddle, put me off and we baled using the east bypass path. Returning to the stone dyke and headed north to regain the ascent route. The winds only picked up on the final 500m of descent, 07:40 all inchillyman829/10/2022
An easy walk on a P.A.T.H. all the way. Good views, so it’s worth saving for clear weather but preferably a bit less hot than it was today. The sad thing is that it’s not so very long since the path to the Saddle was repaired but it’s wrecked already. Munro buggering seems to have got horribly out of hand and I dare say the small path to Biod an Fithich will also be wrecked soon now that it’s been put as a tourist walk on the Walk Highlands website.Gill24/06/2022

Still having a knee injury meant an easy ascent was needed. Can't believe I didn't attempt this after climbing the saddle a few years ago, so logical now.Jhimmy21/09/2017
