Having climbed the West Top on a previous visit thinking it was main top (I was more focused on the neighbouring Corebtt's that day in my defence) I was back to make amends and climb Beinn Clachach on a round with Druim Fada from Corran. Used the landrover track all the way to it's highest point at 430m and climbed up north ridge to summit. | Jossker | 10/06/2023 |
Not too much more ascent from the south top and what a beautiful summit. This and Druim Fada reminiscent of Lakeland fells with their rocky knolls and lochans. Spent some time drinking in the scenery before heading for the West Top. | Wycombe Wanderer | 03/06/2023 |
From Coarach met dangerous Dave and Alex c on summit. Alex off tothe Dodd. Dave back to the van to recover from last night actuvities. Carried on to adjacent Simm summit, alex caught me up on track back to Corran | cjo | 28/05/2023 |
Ideal hill and gorgeous area for an excellent 'clearing the cobwebs' Sunday afternoon walk along with DD the day after the annual Relative Hills Society dinner get together. | Alex C | 28/05/2023 |
Came over from the West Top. With Alex. Met cjo on the summit. | Dangerous Dave | 28/05/2023 |
Usual route from Corran on a sunny day.Descended from the west top NE then NW on easy ground to shorten the returm. | ARM | 21/04/2023 |
From Corran Heritage Centre on road to vehical track along Glen Arnisdale best to keep east of plantation near Achadh a' Ghlinne left track near Eas na Cuingid bit tricky getting up crag to west top, over to summit then down north ridge again took care getting down through crags. If I was doing again would head up to bealach between W top & summit & go down same way. | rogreeves | 26/03/2023 |
From Corran, via track into Coire Chorsalain, then ATV track into Coire Luachrach to col. Summit area surprisingly complex. Descent via same route. | benalder284 | 04/12/2022 |
After Beinn na h-Eaglaise & Beinn nan Caorach. | duchally | 27/07/2022 |
From Beinn nan Caorach. Down the ESE ridge of BnC, across the col at point 415, up the east side of the north ridge avoiding outcrops. Descended via Coire Luachrach, to the good track in Coire Chorsalain, then the main Glen Arnisdale track to Arnisdale. | Owen B | 23/06/2022 |

Tea and scone at Sheena's tea hut in lovely sunshine after 3.5h drive from home, then track past Glenfield, over river ford to Achadh a' Ghlinne (with handy picnic bench) and up the stony track (mad dogs, midday sun etc.) to flat area to cross river and head up W side of the stream in Coire Luachrach, following high above this, ATV track useful in places but wanders around too much and it's easy going anyway. To a notch, cross stream to pass through this onto a boggy shelf, then pick a route through the steep ground. Nice summit, great views. Worth visiting the S summit bump too for the view. Down same way, but crossed the bendy iron bridge for a short cut across the fields. | Gill | 09/07/2021 |
From Corran, then stalkers path into Coire Chorsalain, then Coire Luachrach, targetting hilltop from west side. | willyross | 12/04/2021 |
Parked by the Heritage Centre at Corran. Along good path to 430m at top of Coire Chorsalain. Up Bein Clachach, back down to 415m, up Beinn nan Caorach. Then round below Druim nam Bo to 550m below NE ridge Beinn na h-Eaglaise and up. Back down to Corran via Beinn Bhuidhe. Good going throughout, 10.5 miles. Magnificent views. With Phil and, in sections, Dave. | CJM | 21/05/2019 |
From Corran car park - Glen Arnisdale, over the bridge and the good track to the col at 884116 with CM and David Tyson. With CM south to the summit while David did the hump of Laire Brice. Headed north west to Beinn na Caorach. | bolton | 21/05/2019 |
Used bike part way up Arnisdale Track and climbed a bit as per SMC guide. A lot of rough wet tussocky grass. I think the Dempster route or going round to the north ridge would have been easier. | IanHHill | 12/08/2018 |
Druim Fada ridge and Beinn Clachach from Corran. Sgurr Mor Far West Top, West Top, Near West Top and Sgurr Mor, Druim Fada. Descent W then NNW (with care) down to W end of Dubh Lochain. Walked approx. 400m along shore then climbed steeply to join SW ridge of Beinn Clachach, visiting summit and nearby lower knolls. Across to W top then descent N then NW to join track leading back to Glen Arnisdale. Hot day, but clouds developed and dropped to summit level. | RobertP | 01/07/2018 |

From Corran via West Top. | NormanW | 07/04/2017 |
Started at Corran. Ascended western aspect of hillside directly via steep slopes to approx 440m height. After this there is a cliff with fallen rocks at base which can be tackled along a leftward sloping ledge with a small rock step scramble at the top to reach first top (618m). From summit headed southeast and traversed to east of beneath 600m high top passing pt 485 to regain track in Gleann Dubh Lochain and onwards to Buidhe Bheinn. | raffemeister | 23/10/2016 |

With Jenx from Corran. Took farm track to nr bridge then the old stalkers route up to west ridge. Now a big track being driven in, construction in progress, currently to 350m. Branched of this to gain the hill and direct to summit. Back down over the west top to track and then tea at Sheena's in Corran. | nordicstar | 15/06/2015 |
