As others drove up the track which starts GR 780136, which isnít new as Rick describes its on my old map 33! Drove to hundred metres of fence/locked gate, hidden round a bend, glad I parked before going round bend. Track to exit forest at corrugated iron garage then up easy grass and thin heather to rocky top, return the same way. Great views of Sgritheall, Skye, Rum and Knoydart etc. Could make an excellent alternative way up Sgritheall.N.Morters06/08/2020
Drive to locked gate. Up Rick's stream, down Gill's road. The road wins. Great summit views.NormanW11/06/2019
Drove along the forest track like everyone else. Just before a short rough and rocky section on the track, there's a good parking space. Best to stop there, there's nowhere good further on and no turning space. We walked right to the end of the track, from where it's very easy getting up the hill without getting entangled in fallen trees. Splendid views and easy going all the way.Gill24/05/2019
Drove just short of the locked gate at 792140 and parked up. Followed the track to the ATV shed as you you emerge from the forest then direct to the summit with Gill. Under 2 hour return in improving weather.bolton24/05/2019
Drove good forest road to NG 7923 1398, couldn't have drven much further due to a locked gate. Due S from there for about a km, lot of windfall to contend with until out of the forest, then SE. First hill of 6, on to Creag an Taghainn before the munro.jonglew05/05/2019
From forestry track to col under Beinn Sgritheal where other went off leaving John and I to pick off the Marilyn - absolutely cracking viewpoint in brilliant weather. Went down to Sandaig on return - gorgeous spot.SS03/06/2018

Viewfinder's route worked for me and had the benefit of shelter from today's SW gale.Chris Peart27/10/2016
Drove up as far as locked gate on the track to the north, had to reverse a short distance to find safe turning and parking. Back to gate and turned right up the west side of the deer fence to avoid the worst of the fallen trees. Crossed the fence at top of forestry. From there it is an easy walk to a craggy summit area and another great sunset view.Topographer5712/10/2016
From the track to the north. A boggy stream line lead easily through forest to open ground.jenx18/05/2016
Drove in on the new track just past Mam Sandaig, 2km on good track to just before deer fence/locked gate. Parking at GR7924413992. Along the track for another km past devasted windthrown trees to stream at GR8047213736. This gives good if damp access through trees to hillside and easy line of 240m ascent 800m linear to summit. Great viewpoint over the sound and neighbouring hills.nordicstar18/05/2016
Parked on minor road to the S and took a NE line first on track through forest then steep slopes to the summitAndrewFinnimore25/04/2014

Done during a New Year week at Glenelg with Martin66, J, Otis, JC, MarkH & the Harts. From the road near point 132m up the forest track & then on to the open hillside wending a way around various outcrops. A good viewpoint. Then continued E to Lochan Bhealach Rarsaidh, picking up a path leading SE. Left this to head SW easily enough back to the road & then wandered back to the starting point.NotReallyABagger29/12/2013
You know how guide books occasionally say 'confusing in mist' well it fits this one. Don't know if there is an 'official' route but I didn't find one. Involved the usual pleasures of plantations.Martin R20/02/2012

Parked at Mam above Sandaig. On unused bur well made road through forest for 2 miles. Solitary deer and pine marten. Out of forest over moor grass to first horizon and to top at 11.30.arranc17/08/2005
Up and down over felled logs from road. Lunch with bike by viewpoint bench where tweeds asked if they stop in Range Rover for a minute. 'I don't own this mate'. 'Oh, no, that's my post. Now over there is Goggers' - Kinloch, Sleat of Clare the cook fame.Eddie19/03/2005
