For Alex McBride's last Munro, with Alex and his daughter Chelsea.
Arrived in Knoydart on the 7th, stayed at the bunkhouse. Headed out at 8am, up to Mam Barrisdale, followed the path along the fenceline far too long and had to cut up a pathless slope, once on the shoulder no real issues. Arrived at the summit for Alex's final Munro together. I went solo off to the East Top, returned back the same way to the Munro. Descend was tricky as Chelsea uncomfortable with looser sections of thebpath. As the weather detoriated we dropped down to try and meet the fencline but this was slow going down steep grassy slope.
It started off misty above us but dryish, once up at Mam Barrisdale we were in the mist and 12ish the wind picked up, with the rain contrast during the descent. 10:57hrs all in. | chillyman8 | 08/08/2022 |
From Barrisdale bothy usual route up via Mam Barrisdale and onto ridge. Visited all three summit tops. Returned same way. Weather improved as day progressed from low cloud, wind and rain to sun. With Gillian. Watched the Cape Wrath Ultra runners go through - something else again! | richard69 | 23/05/2022 |
Solo round of Luinne Bheinn & Meall Buidhe from Long Beach campsite - decided to do the route clockwise to make it a longer walk-in than walk-out, not sure if that was the best choice as the descent off Druim Righeanaich was not fun on tired legs. Fairly warm (ended up with some tasty sunburn) and very little wind meant a lot of fluids needed. I had hoped to get around in under 9h, but it ended up being 9h 15min - tougher day than expected. | mproudfoot | 07/05/2022 |

Visited with Iain Brown and Alan Dawson. There are two cairns but neither are at the highest point. The grassy knoll between the two is about 5 metres higher. There is a small pile of stones there which suggests I'm not the first to spot this. | chriswatson | 22/05/2013 |
