Solo - easy bag from roadside with one bwf. | JohnIvor | 02/09/2023 |
4/11 Parked part way along the road to the nature reserve car park, hopped over the BWF, and went up the grassy field with ewes and their lambs towards the turbines. On reaching the fence at the top of the slope turned left and followed it, with the summit just across a second fence. Turbines galore! 35 minutes there and back. | silveracorn_alan | 15/04/2022 |
From good parking to the west. Stile by cattle grid and then path until final pastureland. Both sides of fence at the top visited. | Alan Caine | 23/01/2022 |
Up the wind farm road before striking up directly to the summit. | clivevilla | 02/11/2021 |
From high point of Llyn Brenig Road. Grassy slopes up to top with bwf near top. I counted 62 wind turbines from the summit. | Campbell Singer | 06/05/2021 |
Tir Mostyn, Clocaenog Forest. Through pastures from Llyn Brenig Archeological trail car park. Wind farm constructions appears to be mostly complete and an aerial tower is right by the summit. An exciting place to be in strong winds at the tail end of Storm Aiden. | jacobrichmond | 01/11/2020 |
As Aye Jimmy, parked at Nature Reserve & short walk up road to point where wooden fencing is interwoven with barbed wire fence - Over fence & then up over sheep pasture to an awkward, rickety barbed wire fence in corner of field - Over fence & then a short distance to the unmarked summit. Parked at Nature Reserve car park to SW. Walked back up road for 200m, over fence then directly up hillside. Much turbine activity is going on. Summit still there but now over-topped (1m) by spoil heap on other side of fence. | Aye Jimmy | 10/06/2018 |

Parked in the car park at the north-east end of Llyn Brenig (SH 98339 57435). By a cattle-grid where the reservoir track heads south a stile gives access to a field. Headed up east following the fence to a top stile giving access to the forest. There the fun began, as a large part of the north-western part of the forest has been felled, obliterating the RoW. Struggled up through the felling to a gate at SH 98912 57634. Once over the gate into the pasture I gained the SSW ridge of the hill, following the fence up to a junction. One barbed wire fence here to negotiate to reach the flat unmarked summit area which appears to be on the western side of the fence. Got severely leg-gashed on the barbed wire fence getting to the summit - blood everywhere! Returned by outward route. Solo. A much more difficult route now due to the forestry operations. | Man of Kernow1 | 05/09/2015 |
9/13 Quick walk up from gate below to clear high point | Fergalh | 16/05/2015 |
