Logged Descriptions  (logged by 14 users)ByDate of Ascent
Nowhere near as bas as I expected. Good parking at start of forestry track to ne. Excellent tracks to 300 ms to east of top. Then due west from turning circle. Yes there are a lot of trees down but they can easily be avoided or stepped over. Trial bike tracks near top make the route easier. Rock outcrop at summit a bit awkward but I enjoyed this one.Campbell Singer06/01/2024

Was planning more than 3 tops today but this one took so long and I found it more than enough.Dusty27/04/2022
Horrendous. With a non bagger friend so despite attempts from east (large fallen trees), north (fallen trees, dense regrowth and brambles and south (scree, brambles and regrowth) I actually gave up! Must be getting old!Rob Rees24/01/2022

as for RHW. Tree across track at 040715. Over 3 and under 2 others.arranc14/06/2017
From small car park on minor road to the SE, up track then found a very narrow steep path just before the quarry which took me most of the way up. However, it was a nightmare after that and, having reached the summit, there does not seem to be a way up without hard fighting through brambles, fallen trees and, at times, thick undergrowth.clivevilla14/05/2017

3/8 Third of Eight on very wet and windy day (Castle Hill/Cefn Nantmel/Pen Yr Onnen/Wennallt/Garn/Cefn-Crin/llywy/Crungoed Bank)Fergalh31/01/2016
Not easy this one, parked at end of track SO041705 and followed track to disused quarry path goes very steeply up hill then comes to an abrupt stop with a lot of fallen trees, you have to clamber over these and bash through brambles to gain top at SO0369771243. The tracks/firebreaks on map do not exist.Anton21/04/2013
