A long Pennine Way then through gate to the summit. Stunning views. Definitely worth the minimal effort to the monument for the views and solitude. Some interesting history attached to the place too.NorthernWayfarer25/10/2017
With Jo, PW from cattle grid to SE. Weather; cloudy, good visibility.amblerbob15/05/2016
Used Pennine Way from cattle grid to SE. If you like wide open spaces with minimal effort getting there, this is it. The cold, grey February day with snowy Cheviots in the distance maybe enhanced the feeling of solitude. Wonderful spot for a memorial.Aye Jimmy25/02/2016

From Cattle grid at 824,917. Along Pennine Way till due west of the summit - there is a new gate in the fence here and a clear track to the summit monument which is well worth a visit - great views.Crib Goch02/02/2014
Valiantly scaled the fence between the summit and the PW. Couldn't actually find any stile or gate. Perhaps this is deliberate!moorsman05/08/2008
