Park in the car park(Free)at 40406 34683. Walk along the path and join the main dirt road up to the quarry, follow the edge off the wood then when you get to the crags make your way across awkward ground up to the high ground follow faint path to the Trig point. Return either by the quarry right edge climbing over two fences or go back to the edge of the wood the way you came in. | smocks and denims | 14/09/2023 |

1/2 Parked near the big gates into Greystoke Forest which say walkers welcome till 6pm so in we went, along track up through woods to rhs of quarry and up to trig, then continued along beside woods to come out on track near the clay pigeon shooting hut area, past second quarry and over fields with the limestone scars up to left, towards Summerground Crags. Small scramble up the crags to reach the summit (an easy little way up 50 yards shy of the summit, climb over a pile of rocks into a fairy steps area to get up.) Pleasant views over to Carrock and towards Clough Head | nickywood1 | 10/10/2020 |
Recent felling and planting so some of old routes obliterated. Nice to be back. With B and R. | jenx | 21/03/2020 |

The way in from the north along the permissive footpath is now blocked with fences and barbed wire, due to forestry work. There is, however,a way in from the south east along track to Parkhouse quarry and then a walk to the trigpoint close to the wall. | JohnW | 04/03/2019 |

Forest currently closed whilst logging is taking place. All entrance barriers locked. Circumnavigated one from which a good track leads to within 200m of the top. Pass through the old quarry, scramble up the low edge and you can see the trig from the top. Just head directly to it. 40 minutes return. | moorsman | 10/05/2018 |

Bagged as YSM173 Greystoke Park. Parked at gate, nipped over fence, up large track past Quarry and took path towards the trigpoint. About 50m away took a man path towards trig to be confronted by a crag! No way I was climbing that but I could see the trig on top of it! Back tracked to about 100m before the trigpoint and headed to fallen wall and up to trigpoint, took a track back that skirted Quarry and ended up back on the track I started on. | thejackrustles | 01/05/2017 |

With Jo, walk from Millfield Lodge: good tracks through woods to NY40452 33950 then good path to NY40535 33864 before using faint path through wall gap (NY40576 33869) onto Greystoke Forest. Visited Gillcambon Tarn (well worth a visit for the birds) on return. Weather; overcast, cold wind, good visibility. | amblerbob | 05/01/2014 |
When Charles and I arrived at this summit it looked like the tamperers had left their expensive GPS equipment there unattended. Turned out to be an accurate timing device for the noisy rally drivers practicing in the quarry. Lovely sunny day. | Martin R | 04/11/2013 |

From CP NY404346 follow path then track for <1 km). At quarry go on 50m then take left ride for 100m. See wall and bank, follow line of least resistance to gain ridge, and visible trig. Not an easy find! Great views all round (just) | nordicstar | 02/07/2012 |
